Barely a week after signing a $200,000 deal to model Ultimo’s Adore Moi undies, Kimberly Stewart is fronting the Specsavers Spectacle Wearer of the Year Competition. There now, Kim certainly has a vision, not to mention specs-appeal!
The 27-year-old was launching Specsavers annual awards to find the UK’s sexiest spectacles wearers. She was donning gold and black designer lingerie from Agent Provocateur.
The annual competition is open to UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man residents who are current specs wearer or wear glasses for fashion purposes.
The winner of the competition will win a year’s modeling contract with top London agency MOT.
Founded in 1984 Specsavers has more than 700 stores across the Channel Islands, UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark and Norway. Specsavers was voted Britain’s most trusted brand of opticians for the fourth year running by Reader’s Digest.

One of Hollywood’s favorite fashion icons, Sarah Jessica Parker is making the best use of Carrie Bradshaw of ‘Sex and the City’ to launch her own fashion line, called Bitten.
Here is the first official glimpse of advertising for ‘Bitten’ on bittensjp.com, with Parker, 41, sporting the tagline “Fashion is not a luxury, it’s a right.”

Parker has teamed up with Steve & Barry’s chain of sportswear shops to make this range of “high-quality, but affordably-priced, sportswear for women.” Everyone’s tight-lipped about the details of the collection — so much so that catwalkqueen.com, which published some initial pictures of the ‘Bitten’ range were contacted by Steve & Barry to remove the images.
But if you hold any truth to the rumours, the Bitten range will consist of of over 400 items including wool and cashmere sweaters, dresses, handbags and… you guessed it, shoes!
At a recent exclusive lunch for top fashion editors, Parker said: “High quality, luxurious clothes do not need to cost as much as we’ve been led to think.”
The line will make its debut on June 7th at various Steve & Barry’s stores.

Beyonce may have missed an Oscar but she has pretty much landed the coveted cover of Sports Illustrated’s 2007 Swimsuit issue. With that, Beyonce the Dreamgirls star has become the first singer to be on the cover of SI’s Swimsuit issue, as well as its first non-athlete/non-model covergirl.

The Dreamgirls star poses in a yellow-and-orange bikini with an ample boy-cut brief by House of Dereon, the fashion label which herself and stylist mother, Tina Knowles run together. The pictures are so revealing that her manager dad refused to watch the photoshoot.
Beyonce even embarked on a strict diet to stay in shape for the shoot, and she’s obviously satisfied with the results: “These are photographs I can show my kids some day. I can say, ‘See, momma was beautiful. Look how good I looked!’ ”
Though anyone ever seen a Beyonce that doesn’t look good?
So what’s inside? Beyond Beyonce’s skimpy front page bikini, bodies that are so bare, tops so see through, and models so provocative that Sports Illustrated censored them from certain subscribers.

“The publisher decided not to send any issue to any library or any school,” explained a spokesperson with a county library system in Alabama, USA.
Now, THAT speaks volumes about the issue.

Drew Barrymore has signed as the newest face of CoverGirl Cosmetics; while she’s going to be the face of the new campaign, she will also be the co-creative director for the new CoverGirl commercials that will air in January 2008.
As CoverGirl’s newest model and spokeswoman, she joins a stable of famous names that includes her former idols and, more recently, Queen Latifah, Molly Sims and Rihanna.
The 32-year-old “Charlie’s Angels” actress said she was consulting on the concept, graphics, lighting and how the photo would be cropped before any wardrobe or beauty decisions were made for the new print shoots.
In a rather steep move, she appears in a nude-colored dress, which, Barrymore explained, is a contrast to the bright colors often used in cosmetics ads.
“I leave the makeup and product up to them, that’s their expertise,” she told AP. “What I want to do is honor the tradition of CoverGirl but hopefully bring myself and my personality into it, as well as some edgy fashion-forward thinking and positivity to it.”

“Drew is a wonderful addition to the CoverGirl family and her role - both in front of the camera and behind the scenes as co-creative director - is new and different for the cosmetics industry,” said Esi Eggleston Bracey, VP and general manager, CoverGirl Cosmetics in North America.
Barrymore’s decade-old production company Flower Films has produced films such as the Charlie’s Angels, Fifty First Dates and Never Been Kissed.
Drew said she loved the opportunity to play with makeup and try modeling, “What girl doesn’t fantasize about it?”

Drew Barrymore has hit the No. 1 spot on People magazine’s annual “100 Most Beautiful People” list.
She credits her fun-loving approach to life for the ‘most beautiful’ spot. “I just think happiness is what makes you pretty. Period,” she told People magazine. “Happy people are beautiful. They become like a mirror and they reflect that happiness.”
Barrymore, 32, graces the cover of the issue that hits newsstands Friday. She’s been listed four times, but it’s the first time she’s appearing on the cover.
Making the cover “made my peacock feathers shine in the golden-hour light and extend to the heavens,” added Barrymore.

Leggy hellraiser Kimberly Stewart will model Adore Moi, an underwear range by Ultimo, replacing Mick Jagger’s daughter, Jade as the new face and body of the flagship brand.
The surprise announcement of $195,000 deal follows a public fall-out between the 27-year old model’s famous singer dad Rod Stewart and Ultimo founder Michelle Mone. Stewart, 62, hit out after Mone ditched his fiancee, Penny Lancaster, as the face of Ultimo, only to replace her with ex-wife Rachel Hunter in 2004.
The Adore Moi collection was launched in September as an affordable underwear range for women over 35 and is exclusive to Debenhams stores.
It may be recalled that Kimberly Stewart was voted the world’s most eligible woman in a poll by men’s magazine FHM in February 2007, followed by Baywatch babe Carmen Electra, and Britain’s Princess Beatrice, 18, who came in third.

Petite pop princess Kylie Minogue paid tribute to her Shanghai hosts by donning a stunning cheongsam-style dress and an oriental hairdo at the opening of H&M’s new four-storey Shanghai store, the fashion brand’s first in Asia.
Chinese fans crowded the red carpet to cheer the 38-year-old pop diva in what has been described as a “jaw-dropping” performance at the city’s glass domed science museum.
Crowds of eager shoppers queued outside the new store from early morning to get their hands on H&M’s ranges, which included the new “H&M Loves Kylie” capsule beachwear collection, to be launched across the rest of H&M’s stores for another month.
The Aussie singer’s new bikini range will be in fashion stores from May 10. The summer line beachwear initially will offer a choice of 15 designs.

I don’t know about you, but I’m amazed at Lindsay Lohan’s almost spunky ability to stay in some kind of news all the time. I have no idea if it’s all planned by her publicity agents or she just can’t help it. Either way, I’m not saying that I’m complaining!
Lindsay Lohan has added to her top Hollywood status and image of party girl supremo. The 20-year-old, who featured in Miu Miu’s spring-summer 2007 collection, will appear the face of New York couturier Jill Stuart’s fall advertising campaign, which is being shot this week in Japan by celebrated shutterbug Mario Sorrenti. She will appear in ads for both Stuart’s high-end namesake line and the new Jill by Jill Stuart.
Lohan is also gearing up a Q&A interview session for GQ’s current “Love, Sex and Madness” issue. GQ’s writer Marshall Sella, called her an “icon of her generation.”
“I’ll say this: Whatever you think of Lindsay Lohan, she does appear, after more than a month of sobriety, to have gotten a bit of a handle on the madness. The bad madness, not so much the good madness. In all seriousness, we hope she keeps it up,” Sella said.
And that’s not just about it. After the ten-day photoshoot in Japan, she’s off to London where she will film ‘The Best Times of Our Lives‘, starring with Keira Knightley.

Sizzling Kelly Brook makes a splash returning to her modeling mainstay with an advertsing campaign for the New Look swimwear.
The sexy range is inspired by the Hollywood glamour of the 1950’s and is slated to hit stores this summer. The 35-piece collection will include all the usual gear: bras, thongs and baby doll nighties, in a mix of satin, lace and silk, and will be in stores from October 16th.

The 27-year-old actress/TV presenter worked as an underwear model before she hit the big time when she was picked to replace Denise Van Outen as Johnny Vaughan’s co-presenter on Channel 4’s The Big Breakfast.
The pictures don’t lie — Kelly embraces her womanly curves and isn’t afraid to show them off. And if the pictures are anything to go by, Kelly is endowed with a natural flair to do just that.So don’t be surprised if the designs don’t hang around in the stores for long.
For a not-so-hot actress and a TV presenter, Kelly Brook has certainly found her notch in fashion. She must have done something right — she’s now been asked to design a lingerie line as well.

After months of speculation Victoria Beckham has confirmed launch of her dVb lifestyle brand of denim jeans, shorts and skirts next month. Added attraction — there will also be a collection of men’s and women’s sunglasses for spring/summer 2007.
The dVb Denim collection will be a joint venture with Western Glove Works — the company behind 1921 Jeans and one of the oldest denim names in the world.
“I’ve been lucky enough to work closely with some of the true masters of denim to design and develop a collection that is very personal to me,” says the high-fashion pop star. “I’ve loved denim since I can remember and it was important for me to go back to basics to achieve an elegant and tailored feel ensuring the jeans sit flat, not bag around the knee or cut in around the stomach.
“I want women to look and feel great when they wear them. We have lots of new styles and washes in the collection including resin, which has a wonderful finish.”
The former Spice Girl and wife of soccer superstar David Beckham has plans to expand dVb brand empire and her collection of sunglasses will include oversize Jackie O-style shades and demure Ray Ban-inspired shapes.
“Personally, sunglasses are such an important accessory –- yes, their main purpose is practical, but by no means should that prevent you from taking pride in your eyewear and looking and feeling good,” says Beckham.
UPDATE
I love her style and sense of fashion and I love her even more in her over-sized sunglasses! There’s a certain vulnerability, a ‘dark fashion’ that I see in her when she wears them.
