“Ms Theron was chosen not only for her natural beauty, but because she epitomises the modern woman; a mix of sensuality and determination, sophistication and down-to-earth attitude, elegance and simplicity,” a spokesperson for Breil commented.

What is it with Theron and watches? Fans might recall the lawsuit slapped on Theron by Swiss watchmaker Raymond Weil earlier this year for alleged violation of an endorsement deal. Will Christial Dior still entice Theron despite the multi-million dollar deal with Breil?

Vaseline Makes Hilary Feel ‘Sexy and Girly’

Perhaps Vaseline wants to shed their bland skin and get an image as a swanky cream. Is that why pop sensation and teen fashion queen Hilary Duff is the new face of vaseline?

Even Hilary sheds her heavy make-up to pose for the new ad campaigns. Personally, I love the fresh, dewy look which we rarely get to see. But why would a hip pop diva opt to pose with petroleum jelly? The star expalined to Jared:

“”Skin is a part of you, and you have to be proud of what you have. I feel comfortable in my own skin. Sometimes showing a little is fun. It makes me feel sexy and girly.”

Tina Fey Signs Up for ‘Are You a Cardmember?’

U.S. actress and writer Tina Fey is the new face of American Express’ Are you a Cardmember? advertising campaign.

Tina Fey to promote Amex campaign ‘Are You a Cardmember?’You could perhaps dub it a reality show, since Fey taps into her real life roles as actress, comedian, writer, producer and mother, to portray how American Express’ Fraud Protection benefit program lends a bit of relief and confidence to a typically hectic day.

Under Amex’s Fraud Protection Guarantee, cardmembers are not responsible for unauthorized charges to their Cards, thus instilling confidence while shopping online or off.

“I’m so excited to be a part of the American Express ‘Are you a Cardmember?’ campaign,” said 37-year-old Tina Fey. “It’s pretty impressive when you look at all of the people who have been featured in American Express campaigns before me. Ellen DeGeneres, Robert De Niro, Martin Scorsese; quite frankly I’m not sure why they asked me, but I have to say, I think this is more exciting than playing on the US Open … for me, cause I would totally lose.”

The “Are you a Cardmember?” campaign, launched earlier this year, has featured celebrities such as tennis great John McEnroe, professional snowboarder and skateboarder Shaun White and comedian Larry David to demosntrate the benefits and services of being an American Express Cardmember.

Get a Bagful of Fergie

Glamorous pop princess Fergie has moved into the fashion accessory realm launching her own line of handbags called “Fergie for Kipling.”

Fergie for KiplingThe 78-piece collection has three lines and the prices range from $38 to $198.

“Since I got three collections, I wanted to hit on three different facets of my personality, of women’s personalities,” said Fergie. “‘Nice Scout,’ which is a nature girl, trying to be green, that whole thing. The ‘Naughty Scout’ is a little more for the night owl. And the ‘Dutchess’ line, that’s more for the glamour girl; it’s more chic, high-end and mature.

“I wanted to start something I could afford back in the day. I remember I moved back to my mom’s house, eating her food, and it’s not like because I lived there I lose my sense of fashion. I still wanted to look good, but I couldn’t afford high-end stuff. But I still wanted stuff that was good-quality and fashionable.”

The “Nice Scout” line features bags and satchels in earth tones while “Naughty Scout” is rock ‘n’ roll inspired prints with lots of hardware, and “Dutchess” is essentially evening and weekend bags of luxurious fabrics with leather accents.

“I’ve always been interested in expressing myself creatively, and this is another outlet for that,” added Fergie, real name Stacy Ann Ferguson.

She told the New York Post that she designed and helped conceptualize the styles based on things she liked, such as the utility belts she wears when she shops. As for the fabrics, the samples right out of her closet.

The “Fergalicious” singer teamed up with fashion label Kipling for the franchise. “Fergie for Kipling” handbags will be sold at Kipling, Macy’s department stores and other retail outlets this month.

Supermodel Kate Moss’ “Kate by Kate Moss” was judged far behind fragrances by Shilpa Shetty, Gwen Stefani, Britney Spears, Sarah Jessica Parker, Victoria Beckham and Kylie Minogue.

“The choice of Coleen’s perfume is something that is certainly reflected in our sales figures,” the Mirror quoted Mark Williams of The Fragrance Shop.

Brit model-writer Jordan’s ‘Stunning’ was rated the worst among the fragrances.

Paris Style: Fun, Bright and Flashy

Paris Hilton has launched her namesake clothing line. The Paris Hilton line also includes other products bearing her name: perfume, jewelry and handbags.

Paris Hilton arrives at her clothing line launch at Kitson in LAThe 26-year-old American heiress, author, singer, perfume designer, reality-TV star–and newsmaker–met a crowd of fans during the launch at the popular celebrity boutique Kitson in Los Angeles.

“It’s a dream come true to have my own clothing line,” she said, wearing a gold sequined mini-dress. “It’s just Paris style: fun, bright and flashy.”

The collection, described by Paris as “really comfortable” and “really affordable,” includes shoes, T-shirts and jeans.

Hilton said she spent a year submitting and approving designs. The T-shirts (some which bear her lips or face) are said to retail at about $35, blouses at $70 and the twisted seam skinny jeans Paris wore home from jail at about $70-$100.

“It’s just from my closet to their closets,” she said. “I’m just excited about it and everyone really loves it.”

Additional pieces reportedly will be released next month.

‘Believe’ It… or Not?

Britney Spears will hit the fragrance market one more time next month with Believe Britney Spears.

Believe Britney SpearsWhile the beleaguered pop diva is said to have sold more than 10 million bottles of fragrance since her first two scents, Curious Britney Spears and Fantasy Britney Spears (launched 3 and 2 years ago respectively), will she be able to ‘do it one more time’ given the current controversy about the print ad?

Smooth of skin, with no signs of two pregnancies, let alone a bulge, the singer looks too radiant and glossy to be ‘believable’ in the campaign shot. Some are saying she’s too beautiful to be true… she’s the same Britney who wowed the world with Toxic.

According to the New York Post, the lissome graphic has triggered talks that fragrance firm Elizabeth Arden has super-imposed the singer’s face on the body of another model.

In an attempt to silence the skeptics, Arden has been forced to issue a statement refuting claims of a body double:

“We recently shot Britney Spears for the print campaign for her new fragrance Britney Spears Believe, in Santa Monica. It is true that Britney did leave the set; however, she returned after a brief time. Cayli was the wardrobe assistant on the shoot. We used her as a stand in so that we could set up the lighting while Britney was off the set. When Britney returned, we shot the national print ad with her. The only person in the national print ad for Britney’s Believe fragrance is Britney Spears.”

But London’s Daily Mail asks some uncomfortable questions: “If that is the case, then where are her tattoos?”

Believe Britney Spears is promoted as a “confident expression of optimism and individuality”, and as “a reflection of her soul.” And I’d like to believe that the scent lives up to it.
