In a move to symbolize the spirit of their collection, Dooney & Bourke has tapped actress Hayden Panettiere as their new spokesperson.
Hayden visioned the bag to be a large leather shoulder bag with puffy pleats, a buckle closure and great style. Peter Dooney and his design team took Hayden’s vision and created the limited edition Hayden Bag, which will retail for about $500.

Dooney & Burke, most famous for their line of handbags, are continuing their five year tradition of introducing their trend collection aimed at today’s youth. With this deal, Hayden Panettiere joins Lindsay Lohan, Mischa Barton, and Emma Roberts, who have all taken on the role of being the spokeswomen for the brand.
The new ad campaign is set to debut next month, and the bags are scheduled to hit Dooney & Burke retail boutiques by the end of the year. The bags will also be available at Macy’s, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Lord & Taylor, and dooney.com.
Dooney & Bourke has built their reputation over 30 years as a leader in the accessories market with their commitment to superior materials, expert craftsmanship, and classic styling.

Gone are the days when a rug was considered a flooring accessory to take the chill off of cold floors or even as an inexpensive way to add some color and breathe life into a room. Beating the barriers of the visual appeal, area rugs have become the hottest new trend to express personal style.
And while the choices to even the more fastidious have grown in types, materials, sizes and shapes, colors and textures, the prices have become extremely competitive. So how do you strike a balance between your preferences, quality and your budget?
Enter SuperiorRugs.com. Why them? Well, for one thing, the name says it all–the company has over 20 years’ expertise in manufacturing high quality Persian and Oriental area rugs. Superior Rugs is a division of Superior Importers Co., one of the largest manufacturers of Oriental Rugs and Persian area rugs. Most of the rugs you find here are crafted with high quality materials and techniques, and are heat-set polypropylene or wool rugs, and yarn-dyed for long lasting colors.

But that’s not saying it all. A quick look at their website will reveal a number of ‘timeless treasures’ in 100% traditional wool rugs, 100% contemporary wool rugs, affordable rugs and high quality synthetic rugs as well as the newly introduced 100% silk rugs. If you’re looking for the popular or discount area rugs, take a look at the clearance rugs area where you’ll be able to save up to 80% off the marked price.
And like me, if you’re not an expert on rugs, you can depend on the how-to guide available on site, which takes you step by step through the process with useful guidelines and tips on selection and maintenance.
The site offers an opportunity to rediscover the beauty of rugs by letting you think outside the box and consider round, oval or runner area rugs. The sizes offered in several sizes varying from 13×16 ft to 4×6 ft. Needless to say, the rugs are available in interesting combinations of hues–black/navy, gold/camel, cream/ivory or even plain black and the ever popular red/burgundy.
Yet another attractive aspect of buying from Superior Rugs is that they are the sole manufacturer their line and sell directly without the middleman–which just means you get the best value for your dollar. To top it, the company offers a full 30-day backing plus an additional 60 days for manufacturer defects. All shipping is free.

Oscar-winning Hollywood star Julia Roberts has designed a bracelet for Giorgio Armani to mark World AIDS Day. The bohemian-style leather bracelets will be available in stores on February 1.
The bracelets, featuring silver clasps, are designed in red for women and brown for men and bear an imprint of a symbolic “tree of life” with the slogan “Revolution-Evolution-Devotion” (an acronym for Product RED). Look on the interior, and you’ll find Roberts’ insignia “J.R.”
It is the first time the Italian designer has worked with another name on any project. The fashion house chose the materials and colors for the bracelet.
“Julia has helped to create a beautiful accessory for both women and men, which will also be a visible reminder of the part we can all play in fighting AIDS in Africa,” said Giorgio Armani.
Proceeds benefit Product RED, the business initiative started by U2 front man Bono and Bobby Shriver to help battle HIV/AIDS in Africa.
Fashion Week Daily has reported that the RED bracelets will be available exclusively online at www.emporioarmani.com starting on World AIDS Day on December 1.

Christina Applegate has stepped out of her way (and her clothes) to convince holiday buyers not to buy fur during the gift giving season.
In support of animal rigts group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), the vegetarian actress wears nothing but a pair of festive gloves, a necklace and a smile in an e-card. Her campaign slogan goes, “Cross cruelty off your shopping list by avoiding fur coats, collars and cuffs – unless it’s fake of course.”

Addressing those planning on buying a fur item for a gift, the Sweetest Thing star tells PETA: “They make really great synthetic fur—you really don’t need real fur. And it’s cheaper, so why spend the money?
“The holidays are also a time when people freak out about their finances. If you don’t want to spend the money, why not try some of the other options instead of killing a bunch of animals?”
Christina, who is a vegetarian and animal lover told PEOPLE that her house ‘has been basically a zoo’ since childhood. She said, “Everything I have has dog hair on it, and that’s just the way it is.”
The 35-year-old actress, who’s currently starring in the new hit show ‘Samantha Who?’, also said she decided to become a vegetarian while she was still a teenager on the set of her U.S. TV sitcom, “Married…With Children.”
“I realized I can’t eat something that has been alive. So I stopped, and that was it. That was the last time,” she added.
Christina joins the ranks of Alicia Silverstone, Alyssa Milano, Maggie Q and Dominique Swain in stripping off for the charity movement.

If you’ve been wracking your brains over finding the special gift for that special someone, relax. Play it safe, and select the one gift that can never go wrong–jewelry. Then again, what jewelry? And where to get it??
When you let your imagination fly about jewelry, you need to be able to look at plenty of choices in the kind of product, design, material and the price. To top it, it has to be the latest! I had to look up quite a few online jewelry stores to zero in on MyJewelryBox.com, an online jewelry store, which brings you the most up-to-date jewelry styling that you see on the TV and the runways at unbeatbale prices.

You can search for your piece of jewelry by product, material and price ranges. You’ll find hundreds of styles and designs in rings, pendants, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, engagement and wedding rings. These could be in gold or silver and further embesllished by diamonds, gemstones, citrines or pearls. A quick search on diamond products yielded 1089 results, and since I was looking for pendants, a deeper search showed 223 diamond pendants including solitaire diamond pendants, cross, double heart, infinity loop pendants and more.
You can also search by very flexible budget ranges, starting at under $100 and up to over $5000. You can also display the results list sorted by prices or newest.
Christmas jewelry specials? MyJewelryBox offers a range of collections in what they call ‘Christmas Treasures’, which again can be browsed for various price ranges, starting at less than $250. The website also has a section on featured collections, beginning with Top Sellers (all time hot designs in earrings, pendants, bracelets and rings), an exclusive Tennis Diamond Bracelets Collection, Diamond Stud Earrings Collection, a Wedding & Engagement Center, Crislu Jewelry Store with platinum over sterling silver with sparkling cubic zirconias, Birthstone Shop and the ever popular New Arrivals section. Don’t forget take a look at the ‘Bargain of the Week’, though.
Your options to shop include the Liquidation center, where you can select from their premium jewelry with gemstones and diamonds in white and yellow gold, saving up to 80% of retail value.
New to jewelry? No hassles. Just visit the Education section on MyJewelryBox.com, where you can learn all there is to know about diamonds, gemstones, gold and silver, as well as how to care for them.
MyjweleryBox.com offers 30-day returns, free FedEx over $99, free gift packaging and VeriSign secured shopping.
