Star of the hit TLC reality show ‘Miami Ink’ Ami James has joined the PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) movement in a new anti-fur campaign.

In the PETA ad above, appropriately titled “Ink, Not Mink”, Ami James shows off some of his 40 tattoos.
In his interview with PETA, James said, “I was watching TV and then all of a sudden there was something about Roberto Cavalli’s fashion and I saw people wearing cheetah furs and all sorts of crazy things like that … to the point where I got asked to do a Cavalli vodka design and I said, ‘F*** no, I’m not doing it. I’ll never do it.’”
The ad was unveiled at his South Beach bar yesterday, when he announced banning of fur from the club. “Love animals, hate fur” is what the a new sign poster at the bar reads.
“If we wouldn’t be wearing mink, nobody would be killing (them),” James added.

It took Calvin Klein 13 years to be ‘officially’ called a celebrity designer after graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York, in 1962. True to what Klein says, he’s “made a lot of things that go with things”, his designs are totally original. But the fact remains that he did acquire basic college education in fashion design. If that’s what you’re looking for, perhaps you don’t have to go further than http://www.iadtnashville.com/.

What is the one thing the celebrities pictured above have in common? Well, I don’t really wish to confirm anything, but a little bit of Googling tells me they’ve all had botox injection treatments. Now, I’m not saying it’s a bad thing. Matter of fact, a botox Manhattan center raves and rants about the positive face (pun unintended) of cosmetic injections.
While celebrities may have a purely commercial reason to undergo botox treatments, the rest of us may have other valid reasons. For instance, to many a younger looking appearance may translate into self-confidence, career advancements, better personal relationships, etc.
A “botox shot” simply means adminstering the Allergan Botox to relax facial muscles that cause wrinkling, and saying goodbye to those facial lines, especially the frown lines. The FDA approved the 10-minute treatment is said to be one of the most effective non-surgical methods to reduce signs of aging. What’s more, results are often noticeable within hours. There’s no denying it. Celebrities have a lifestyle to live up to–at least when they’re in public–and the bags and purses they carry are usually the most noticed, the most photographed and the most written about (after their boyfriends). Perhaps this is just one reason top celebs such as Lindsay Lohan, Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen and Nicole Richie wouldn’t be seen dead without a Fendi bag.
Apart from the celeb/glamour side, the Italian designer’s handbags are an ideal model of perfection in terms of material, style and quality. For instance, the Fendi Spy Bag is made of buttery soft leather, and the look and feels of the bag can never be duplicated. But how do you go about searching for authentic Fendi bags offered at the best prices in the market?
I discovered TheFind.com. Their shopping search engine delivers lists of products with descriptions and images, ranked by the leading products, brands, stores and styles on the very first page of results. A search for the “Fendi Spy bag” yielded 960 results from 121 stores. Shown below is the Fendi brown nappa embellished ‘Spy’ bag, available in cognac, brown, ivory and khaki. It also features soft pebbled nappa leather with ‘Ricami’ hand woven beaded and embroidered designs and short flap with woven leather handle, hidden lighter compartment, and wristlet strap, and a Zucca jacquard canvas lining.
A search for another celebrity favorite, the Fendi Hobo bag came up with 754 choices from 114 stores. The Fendi cognac nappa leather Hobo has soft pebbled nappa leather with allover stitch detailing, while the front flap pocket comes with with mirror logo goldtone buckle and has a magnetic snap closure. The 14” woven leather strap has 6” drop and leather knots.

TheFind.com came up with 734 bags from 150 stores for Fendi Tote, the exclusive luxurious Fendi. If you love the hottest looks and the finest materials, you’ll find them in the Fendi Large Silver Metallic Leather ‘Xword’ Tote (shown here). The handbag has a double patent leather measuring 24 inches, and black nylon with inter-woven metallic laminated leather overlays.
One last word–don’t get the idea that TheFind.com is only about searching bags and galmour stuff. Their “Product Ranking Engine” crawls over 500,000 stores worldwide to find over 150 million products including shoes, apparel, home furnishings, jewelry and watches, seasonal stuff, health and beauty products as well as items for kids and family.

‘She’s the Man’ star Amanada Bynes proves she’s very much a woman in her new photoshoot for Vaseline.
Vaseline has featured Amanda’s face, legs and feet in an ad campaign the February issue of Glamour magazine.

“I’ve been performing since I was really young - dancing, running, doing pratfalls. Your skin is your canvas; it shows how active you are. The scars from when you are four tell the story of how you’ve lived your life,” says Amanda.
“Our skin is the most important thing we have. It’s our biggest organ. Care for it the way you would care for anything else. Eat healthy, drink water, and protect your skin.”
Amanda Bynes, 21, has been described by The Boston Globe as having an “Everygirl” appeal, embodying “both everything her teen fans dream of being and everything they know they really are, and they love her for it.” In 2006, she was named one of Teen People’s “25 Hottest Stars Under 25″, and last year, she was on the Forbes list as the 5th highest paid celebrity under 21 earning $2.5 million.
