With this, von Teese, an American, joins a bevy of international beauties including Eva Herzigova and Adriana Karembeu who have modelled for the push-up bra brand.

Fans will recall von Teese’s famous “traditional feather fan dance” and her “boudoir/bathtub show”, as well as her 2005 dance where she performed naked but for $5 million worth of diamonds at a benefit show at the New York Academy of Art.

The strip-tease performer is also said to be designing her own limited edition collection of Wonderbra underwear, with designs drawing on 1940s lingerie styles and vintage underwear fashion.

Thierry Henry, Tiger Woods and Roger Federer: “Gillette Champions”

Last week Gillette unveiled its first TV campaign titled “Gillette Champions” with Tiger Woods, Thierry Henry and Roger Federer.

The 30-second international spot, created by BBDO, comes after David Beckham’s 3-year £40m contract came to an end last June. The football star reportedly turned down Gillette’s offer of a new £3m contract, with insistence on a profit share rather than a flat fee.

The ad features a montage of great moments from each sportsman’s career, followed by each athlete shaving with a Gillette Fusion Power razor, and ending with the tag line “Prepare to be your best today”. Gillette claims the two-year deals with the three sportsmen are part of a strategy to bring in a range of sports stars to give the brand resonance with more consumers.

Gillette said the new adverts with the trio of sports stars is its ‘largest sports marketing campaign’ in its 108-year history. The company signed the sports trio in 2006 on two-year deals as part of an attempt to sign up a broader range of different sports stars to give the brand wider exposure.

“They were chosen for both their outstanding sporting performances and also their performances off the field, in their charitable actions, support of social causes and for their reputations as icons of true sporting values,” said Nathan Homer, Gillette brand manager.

The ad broke in the UK on Channel 4, E4, ITV2, Sky Sports 1 and Sky One, with concentration around sports programs.

Hollywood actress Sarah Michelle Gellar is the new face (and body) for Vaseline.

Sarah Michelle Gellar, 30, has used the no-nudity clause to generate publicity concerning herself. First, she hinted that she might remove her clothes for the right movie. However, she soon followed her announcement with a contradictory statement in which she declared that she would never appear nude on screen or stage for any reason. However, Gellar already has appeared topless in an episode of Saturday Night Live, during which she covered her breasts with her hands.

Gellar said that she hopes you too will “keep your skin amazing” while she promotes her new petroleum jelly gig. She joins John Leguizamo, Amanda Bynes and Hilary Duff, who have been spokespersons for the brand.

Vaseline.com has a guessing game for this “mystery celebrity” and describes the model with the clues “She starred opposite an Angel” and “This celebrity lives a full life that puts her skin to the test. Her career began when she was just five years old and over the years she’s become a superstar of the small and big screen.”

Gold Gets the Agyness Deyn Look

Agyness Deyn, said to be one of the most sought after British fashion models of the moment, is the new face of Giles Deacon’s latest Gold range for New Look, which will hit stores in March.

Agyness DeynLancashire-born Deyn, 21, is taking over from Hollywood actress Drew Barrymore, who fronted the launch of Giles Gold for New Look collection in March last year.

“We had to find a face that was a little bit quirky, ultimately stylish and totally modern to fit the range. Agyness perfectly encapsulates New Look’s fun and fashionability,” a spokesperson for New Look tells Drapers.

Deyn, a good friend of Deacon’s, was spotted being photographed in London last week for the fourth installment of the fast-selling fashion line. The designer’s fourth range for New Look will feature eyelet-detail stripy and tattoo-print tops, macs with gradient stripes, corset tops, voluminous trousers, stripy sequined dresses and a multi-pleat pink dress, which will be available at 130 of its shops, including outlets in France and the Middle East.

The fashion model was recently named Mancunian Model of the Year at the 2007 fashion awards. Deyn is known for her quirky, edgy style and her peroxide blonde short crop has been copied world wide.

Deyn currently also adorns Burberry and Armani ad campaigns.

Eminem to Slim Down with Slim-Fast?

Rapper Eminem has allegedly been approached by dieting brand Slim-Fast apparently in an opportunity to to shed some of the flab he put on recently.

“Slim-Fast is a program that can really work for someone like Eminem; it’s a doable and flexible approach,” said a spokesperson for Slim-Fast. “Slim-fast would love to offer Eminem product and assistance to help him become a potential S-F success story.”

According to reports, Eminem is most likely to go on a 1900 calorie-a-day diet, which would include three Slim-Fast Shakes per day.

Eminem, 35, hit the headlines thanks to a number of best-selling CDs, personal lyrics and a pivotal role in the hit 2002 film ‘8 Mile’. He has won Grammys, including Best Rap album for ‘The Slim Shady LP’, ‘The Marshall Mathers LP’ and ‘The Eminem Show.’

At the time of writing, Eminem has not responded to the Slim-Fast offer.

Sony Ericsson had earlier portrayed tennis players Ana Ivanovic and Daniela Hantuchova in a 2006 TV ad to promote the launch of its K800 and K790 Cyber-Shot camera phones.

The off-court agreement complements Sony Ericsson’s 6 year $88 million global title sponsorship of the WTA Tour which was signed in January 2005 and is the biggest deal in the history of women’s sport.
