Damiani, Italy’s Luxury Jewelry House announced a new advertising campaign with actress Sharon Stone at the new Damiani boutique in Los Angeles last night.
Damiani, recipient of an unprecedented eighteen Diamond International Awards — the “Oscars of the Jewelry World” — reiterated their belief that Damiani is truly a girl’s best friend at the press event revealing Sharon Stone, 50, an iconic figure of Hollywood glamour as the new face of Damiani.
The campaign epitomizes female icons throughout legend and history — women who can be what they want and go beyond the limits allowed. These are women who are beautiful, romantic, tender, charming, brave, confident, courageous and full of mystery, who always feel at ease regardless of their environment. The Damiani campaign includes images inspired by Eve, Amelia Earhart, and today’s modern woman, who is unique and as strong as the ‘every’ woman.
Silvia Damiani, third generation family member and long time personal friend of Sharon Stone, introduced the campaign at the event where images of Sharon Stone were displayed simultaneously on large plasma screens.

Supermodel Kate Moss promoted her second fragrance Velvet Hour at the Watergate Club in Berlin last week.
The tag line for the perfume is “Embrace the Night”, and the Mert & Marcusshot ad features a feline Kate Moss luxuriating in a mesmerizing deep blue lamé dress in a deep blue theme.
Fans will recall that Moss launched her first fragrance ‘Simply Kate‘ nearly a year ago, and it hit the top of the celebrity perfume charts like a bazooka.
The Croydon-born beauty, 34, who arrived at the Watergate Club in style, in a flirty grey tweed dress and a pair of T-bar heels, however was a little red-faced as a blonde hair extension fell out and landed on the red carpet.
But that’s no biggie. She’s the Kate Moss…

Daisy Rock guitarist and international recording artist Mylin is the new face of Fingr’s Edge Nails.
Mylin’s signature line of nails launches in stores throughout the USA this month and is also available for sale online, while the Fingers/Edge Mylin went into retail at over 3000 Wal-Marts a couple months ago.

The former Mickey Mouse Club child star has released four albums under an international music label, selling over 1 million worldwide. Supermodel Christy Turlington continues to grow from strength to strength, starting from representing Chanel’s East-West Bag earlier this year to being the face of Escada’s Fall/Winter 2008 collections advertising.
“Christy as a ‘classic supermodel’ is trans-generational and, therefore, meaningful to many women of all ages. Escada is also trans-generational and therefore Christy is a perfect match for our campaign,” said Jean-Marc Loubier, CEO of Escada. “Escadais currently building the character of the brand and we needed someone whose face would not merely be a façade for Escada but rather also someone with a personality matching that which we wish to communicate to the customer.”

Platinum girl Peaches Geldof has replaced Kate Moss campaigns for upmarket lingerie firm Agent Provocateur.

Nineteen-year-old Peaches, the ‘rebel’ daughter of Sir Bob Geldof and the late Paula Yates, was allegedly approached by the sexy lingerie company earlier this year after Moss’ £500,000 contract came to an end rather abruptly.
“Peaches is exactly the right girl for us,” a source told the News Of The World. “She’s hot, young and of the moment. She’s got an edginess about her and we like the firm to have a hint of danger. We’ve no doubt she’ll be a huge success.”
Hmm… well, while this is great news for Peaches, I’m kinda awed at the paradigm shift of fashion and clothing towards teen supermodels and celebrities. I wonder what’s gonna happen to all the old flames? Is there anyone out there coming out with a designer maternity wear launch?
