German celebrity supermodel Claudia Schiffer is replacing her fellow supermodel Naomi Campbell as the new face of Yves Saint Laurent.
The 38-year-old model and actress will front the luxury brand’s Spring/Summer 2009 campaign, as she reportedly confirmed in London at a glamorous Van Cleef & Arpels’ party thrown by Vogue.
Schiffer, who has appeared on over 500 magazine covers, went on to add that she’d also be fronting Dolce & Gabbana and Salvatore Ferragamo for the new season, reported WWD.
The illustrious celebrity lives in a $12-million mountain-top retreat in Majorca, Spain, with two homes, one for herself, kids Caspar Matthew, and Clementine and her British film producer husband Matthew Vaughn, and the other for her parents and her brother and sister.

MTV hit reality TV show The Hills’ star Lauren Conrad plans to take the “Lauren Conrad Collection” to the next level with Campus Solutions, Inc., who have, in turn, partnered with TheQuad.com.
What ‘next level’ means is of course going down to the university campus — Conrad, 22, probably believes that’s where her true market lies. LC3, (the Lauren Conrad Collection College Tour), involves a tour of five key university campus markets: Austin, Atlanta, Boston, Minneapolis and Los Angeles.
Lauren will be the spokesperson and featured host of each runway show along the tour, which will feature all fashion models in Aldo shoes, yet another sponsor for the LC3 tour and their make-up will be provided by .mark cosmetics. The promotion actually started last month, and is allegedly still running.
More than 17 million students will attend U.S. colleges and universities this year, according to an industry forecast by Veronis Suhler Stevenson. And they’re projected to to spend d more than $21.5 billion on food and beverage; $21 billion on electronics and cell phones; $10.5 billion on entertainment; $6.5 billion on footwear and apparel; and $6 billion on health and beauty.
That’s a HUGE market for Lauren, whether she’s made friends with Heidi Montag or not.

Danish supermodel Helena Christensen proves she’s still got what it takes to be called the ‘chest of treasures’ as the face of Agent Provocateur in a promotion video released by the lingerie company.
The video titled ‘Pirate Provocateur’ is shot by Tim Bret Day and also features fashion rebel Alice Dellal. The action takes place in the depths of a galleon with drunken and debauched revelry amid a bevy of beauties in skimpy bras. Pirate Queen Helena appears swashbuckling in a red lace basque brandishing a sword, and seduces the captain of the ship.
“She fits the bill perfectly as our Pirate Queen,” said Agent Provocateur founder Joe Corre.

Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin and upscale specialty department store Neiman-Marcus are set to offer discounted Palinwear branded clothes–reportedly after the Presidential elections.
The collection is said to be affordable for today’s hockey mom as well as the plumbers’ ex-wives who haven’t been getting the support necessary to buy at Neiman-Marcus. And the high-end fashion stuff? No problems, there will another line of stores offering higher priced “Palinwear”.
“Of course there are plenty of women, as well as some pro-American drag queens who just want to look like Sarah,” said Neiman-Marcus spokeswoman, Ann Taylor. “The clothes that were purchased by the Republican National Committee for Governor Palin will need a home after the election.
“We’re not talking knockoffs here. We’ll be selling those in the foreign markets overseas where Sarah’s stylings have gathered a huge, though un-American, following.”
Taylor said the Palinwear outlet may just be the start of an ever-growing Palin-franchise. “We want to be the place real Americans go for all their Palin needs. Expect to see a ‘UBetcha‘ line of women’s casual, ‘Big As The 49th‘ for the plus-sized, and ‘Whoops‘, a hip outlet for coolest in unwed teen-maternity apparel.”
Oops.. or Whoops. For teen pregnancy? Gimme a break here. What happened to all the condom campaigns?
Alright, come what may, what I can’t stop wondering about is where did the $150,000 Republican expenditure on up-to-date fashion clothes really go?
Before doing any research, I was pretty sure I’d find the name of Neimus-Marcus somewhere. And I did. Ms Palin did spend $75,000 at Neiman-Marcus, $59,000 at Saks, and just about $5,000 on hair and makeup.
I’ll buy the Republicans’ argument do-you-expect-to-see-a-VP-nominee-in-an-LL-Beannie-turtleneck, but then “Sarah Palin into Palinwear After November 4th?”?? Why AFTER? Clearly, I have no clue. Do you?
