British singer-songwriter-fashion model Lily Allen has been making new forays in the celebrity fashion scene, and this time she’s gotten really bold and has launched her own jewelry line named… well, Lily Allen.

The 24-year-old pop star emphasized she she loved jewelry, “always have.” Allen thinks it “completes an outfit.”
“You can change your whole look just by changing which jewelry you choose to go with what you’re wearing,” Allen told the fashion trend-setter Vogue.
“All of the designs stem from anything whether it’s the surroundings of places I’ve been to around the world, objects I’ve seen… anything. The list could go on forever.”
The line is designed for girls and women aged ‘14 to 40′. Whether it’s just supposed to rhyme, or if it will really click within that rather ambitiously wide age group, only time will tell — which is not long, the necklace and earrings line is expected to hit the retailers in September.
Now, have an open mind, take a deep breath, close your eyes, open one and steal a glance at some of Allen’s ‘diamond-studded’ doggie pendants/necklaces and earrings that seem inspired by fish hooks:
If there was one thing I could tell the English “IT” girl, it would be, “It’s not me, it’s not you, either, Lily, it’s your jewelry!”
Hold the horses — Australian model, actress and TV presenter Annalise Braakensiek has just launched her own eco-friendly line of ‘plus’ size lingerie.
‘Bra’akensiek’s bras will specialize in C-F cups and will be launched in August, reports theage.com.au.
“It’s green,” explained Braakensiek about her brand “Annalise Exclusive for Bras ‘n Things”.
“No toxic ink, organic cotton, organic bamboo, sustainable produce, the swingtags are recycled cardboard and even attached with organic twine. As eco-friendly as I can possibly make it. Looking after girls with bigger boobs and looking after the environment at the same time.”
So what inspired Braakensiek to create her own line?
“It’s been a dream of mine since I started modeling and a lot of my modeling was in Italy with beautiful brands like La Perla,” the gorgeous model said.
“So I was wearing these beautiful garments but they only go up to a maximum D cup and I’m an E cup. It was so frustrating.”
“It’s something that’s been needed for so long,” she says matter-of-factly.
“I started working on this three years ago. There were no fashionable large sizes. I think it’s great now women of all sizes can get lingerie that suits their personality.”
Was the 36-year-old bombshell think twice before stripping off for the photo shoot?
“Oh, darling, this is what I do. I’ve been getting my kit off for years.”
I didn’t think she’d be nervous, especially after seeing the campaign where she posed naked for PETA.
Enjoy some photos of Annalise at the photo shoot for the lingerie launch:
(Oh yeah, feel free to zoom in on her. She won’t bite… unfortunately.)
Enjoy this 55-second behind-the-scene footage released by Rampage:
“The Rampage line is comfortable and the cuts are very feminine,” said Refaeli, 24. “It always fits perfectly to the curves of a woman’s body – I have curves and I feel really good in it!”
The fall campaign will debut in September issues of fashion and lifestyle magazines such as Elle, Lucky and Cosmopolitan as well as be featured on outdoor advertising and online at fashion and lifestyle websites.
“We were looking for a fresh new face to follow our spring campaign with Gisele Bundchen and when we met Bar we instantly fell in love with her,” said Dari Marder, chief marketing officer, Rampage.
“Bar is sweet, young, sexy and beautiful just like our Rampage customer. We look forward to a wonderful partnership.”
The Rampage campaign was shot by famed fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon at an estate in Los Angeles. Refaeli wears Rampage clothing, accessories, intimates and footwear in a variety of set ups from posing seductively in lingerie to a more innocent playful stance in sportswear for the campaign. The campaign was created by the Iconix in-house marketing team.
Who do you think suits Rampage better? Anyways, Rampage seems to be developing a penchant for changing its spokesperson on a whim — wasn’t it less than six months ago that Gisele replaced Petra Nemocova?
Go ahead and zoom in on Bar and Gisele photos. They won’t bite… unfortunately.
Emma Watson, yeah, THE Emma Watson, apparently, has some learning to do, and since it has nothing to do with witchcraft, she’ll be doing it at Brown University, a member of the Ivy League.
Paste magazine tells us that Emma has confirmed she will enroll as a college freshman this fall at Brown, in Rhode Island.
“I am going to Brown, I’ve got a place there to read literature,” she revealed to the music, film and culture magazine.
Is she worried that her celebrity status might come in the way of her studies?
I’d guess not, from what Emma has to say about it: “That’s inevitable [getting recognized as 'the star'], I suppose, some of them must have seen the films over the years. But I do hope that it will be only a short time before I am known as ‘Emma Watson, the student from the UK’ rather than ‘Emma Watson who starred in those Harry Potter films’.”
When asked if it was a deliberate choice to step out of the limelight, Emma replied, “It’s not so much that, no, I’m not trying to hide or anything like that. It sounds so geeky, but I really do like studying and reading, and if I’m not working on Harry Potter, then my greatest relaxation is to sit with a book.
“That’s how I escape stress—in literature. I always have several books on the go at any one moment, so it’s no good you asking ‘What’s on the bedside table at the moment, Emma?’ because often I can’t even see the table! I think that all that reading is just about the only similarity I have with Hermione, if you ask me.”
Emma has had a spell of a straight A’s all her academic career, and I don’t see any reason why Brown should be different for her. Good luck, Emma.

Guess women know best what men should smell like. And Kylie Minogue is set to prove it. Called Inverse for Men, the scent will be the Australian singer’s sixth perfume — and the first for men — in three years when launched this September.
“It’s delicious. Girls can wear it but it’s really for men,” Kylie said about her perfume for men.
Was it inspired by one man in specific, or was it how she likes her men to smell?
“Men of good taste, yes. It’s manly, but it ends up being kind of powdery. Yummy,” Kylie added. The Inverse limited edition is for apparently “for the men in my life, who, as you know are complex, colorful characters.”
Apparently, she has had many men asking her to create a scent for men.
Kylie’s first signature perfume Darling, was released in September 2006, which was followed by two sequels, Sweet Darling, in 2007 and Showtime in 2008 – all created in association with beauty house Coty. Sexy Darling and Couture followed soon after to further boost the $100 million global franchise.
“It’s clear from a business standpoint we took a risk, because we’re not seeing a lot of female celebrities creating fragrances for men,” said Steve Mormoris, senior VP of global marketing for Coty Beauty.
“But in the case of Kylie Minogue, she has such a huge fan base of men and women — and now many women use men’s fragrances, so it made sense.”
The Inverse juice, an ambery oriental, is something Minogue developed with Givaudan’s Christophe Raynaud. A 50-ml eau de toilette of Inverse will retail at about US $42. The rectangular glass flacon with a metal top bottle is a Denis Assor design.
“Beauty is a very intriguing and exciting industry, and I almost have to pinch myself that I am part of it,” Minogue was quoted as saying in WWD.
“I spend half my life in airports, and I look at perfume fragrances and beauty products in a completely different way now.”
But songs and scents are not her only thing. The 40-year-old, Melbourne-bred, OBE-recipient claims a passion for fashion design – or clothing, if you may.
“Couture — there is nothing quite like it and I am very fortunate to be able to do things like that,” said Minogue in her interview.
“I come from nowhere. I come from the suburbs. I used to be on the machine buying scraps from the market. And then to be able to be in this world where I work with the world’s best designers and have couture made — I’m in heaven.”
Meanwhile, Kylie is busy preparing for her first US tour, which takes off on September 30 in San Francisco.
Inverse for Men will be available in selective distribution in Australia, the UK, the Netherlands and Germany.
And coming back to where we started… women ought to know what men should smell like. But would it still matter if Frenchman Olivier Martinez appreciates it?
