Millers’ Catwalk Launches LG’s Chocolate Phone

Sienna Miller and her sister Savannah Miller, designers of fashion brand Twenty8Twelve, introduced LG’s new wide screen Chocolate phone at the recently concluded London Fashion Week.

Oh well, LG was indeed the main sponsor for the Millers’ Twenty8Twelve (gosh, it’s so difficult to type! 2812 could have been easier) catwalk show.

Amid the fashion show, which was studded with celebrity glitterati — such as Anna Wintour, an editor in-chief of Vogue, Alexa Chung, TV presenter of MTV US and the worldwide supermodels, Kirsty Hume, Poppy Delevigne, Trish Goff, as well as Pixie Geldof with her sister Peaches Geldof– the innovative wide screen phone was lauded for its bold visionary style and design initiative.

Anyway, what’s the thing about a phone being ‘chocolatey’? I don’t get it. It sure looks great:

But where’s the chocolate? Unless, of course, we’re talking about Sienna Miller, who looks good enough to eat.

Lady Gaga Launches Signature Headphones with Monster

American songstress Lady Gaga recently teamed up with legendary artist and producer Dr. Dre and Monster, a leader in audio/video accessories, to launch Heartbeats by Lady Gaga, the latest addition to the hugely popular Beats by Dr. Dre headphone family from Monster.

Lady Gaga explains her motivation behind Heartbeats by Lady Gaga: “In the deepest hour of the night, I confess to myself three things; I would die if I was forbidden to write, forbidden to love, or forbidden to fashion. Heartbeats embody the trinity of my human-being, with one additional vow: that SOUND matters. Wear heartbeats, love each other, and celebrate the art and lifestyle of music.”

Wow. Well said. Wonder how well it will be heard. Pardon the pun.

Heartbeats by Lady Gaga are designed to give users a high-performance headphone option that literally doubles as a high-tech fashion accessory or attractive piece of jewelry, said a report.

They feature a multi-faceted, glossy surface and high-tech build materials, with a jewel-inspired earpiece cosmetic. The headphones are available in three separate versions, including a metal body with rose red jewel-shaped earpiece, metal body with all chrome jewel-shaped earpiece and black-on-black body and jewel-shaped earpiece design. The headphones are outfitted with a specially design stylish and tangle-free cable.

The new Heartbeats by Lady Gaga come in a red carrying case and an assortment of eartips designed for comfort and fit. They also feature Monster’s exclusive flat cable design that that integrates into the look and feel of HeartBeats, and also makes them ‘tangle-resistant’.

They will be available in October with different feature options in the price range of $99.95 to $149.95.

Katie Stam, Miss America for “Go Green”

Katie Stam, who was crowned Miss America 2009 in January will highlight our responsibility for the Earth by promoting natural bioplastic bottles from Nature’s Bottles in a campaign entitled ‘Go Green”.

Apparently, these bottles are made from plants, not petroleum products.

Ingeo – natural plastic is derived from 100 per cent annually renewable resources and is the world’s first biopolymer showing a significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, it says on Nature’s Bottles website.

The natural bioplastic bottles can be recycled or composted in commercial composting facilities lessening the impact that plastic has on our planet by not adding to landfill waste, it said.

According to Nature’s Bottles, some 2.5 billion barrels of oil are used for making plastics every year and more than 60 million plastic, petroleum-based water bottles end up in landfills every day.

And that’s almost 40 billion annually, and they will last for centuries. This is going to end, apparently, with eco-friendly bottles of this young and innovative company.

“We are excited to partner with Nature’s Bottles, and promote one of the most important and socially relevant causes that face our future generations,” said Art McMaster, President and CEO of the Miss America Organization.

“We are proud to have Miss America serve as our Go Green spokesperson to promote this message across the globe,” said Doug Ivey, President of Nature’s Bottles, paying tributes to the glamorous 23-year-old beauty queen, who’s “naturally” gorgeous, thus a perfect fit for the campaign.

The new Roberto Coins campaign, shot by celebrity photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, will feature jewelry brands such as the Primavera, Classic Bold Gold, Cento Diamonds, Fantasia, Appassionata and the eye-catching CapriPlus collections.

Turlington Burns, 40, who has graced the covers of more than 1,000 top magazines, including Vogue and Time, is a passionate pioneer of women’s rights, including CARE’s Advocate for Maternal Health.

Roberto Coin, chairman and co-founder of Roberto Coin Inc., said: “Our previous campaign with Christy [benefiting YouthAIDS] was so successful and widely received. “Working with Christy is another exciting opportunity for Roberto Coin,” said Peter Webster, president and co-founder of Roberto Coins, Inc.

“The new campaign also salutes an organization that invites people to go out and make a difference. At Roberto Coin, we believe that a cause related campaign is much more impactful than straight consumer advertising. Beyoncé Set for Signature Perfume Launch

American musician, actress and model Beyoncé Knowles is geared up to launch her first signature scent in collaboration with international fragrance leader Coty.

“We welcome Beyoncé as a well-respected and esteemed partner of the Coty family,” said Bernd Beetz, chief executive officer, Coty.

“She is a star who brings a combination of power and femininity that will only further inspire the creative process as she works with Coty,” he added.

“Modern and highly influential, Beyoncé has truly touched the lives of her fans and will continue to reach new heights in her career with the launch of her own signature fragrance. We are thrilled she has partnered with Coty to embark on this new adventure, one of vast potential.”

The as yet unnamed fragrance is said to ‘embody the soul of Beyoncé’s persona: a glamorous and highly talented woman full of determination and drive to succeed’.

The 28-year-old entertainer endorsed Coty’s perception of her by saying:

“For me, fragrance reflects a woman’s attitude and unique sense of style.”

“While I love various perfumes, I haven’t found a scent that truly personifies me as a woman. Working with Coty, I was able to turn my ideal fragrance into a reality by creating an alluring and sophisticated fragrance; one that’s reflective of my inner power. It’s a true privilege to be working with Coty and I can’t wait to share this personal side of me with fans all across the world.”

Though there’s no official word from Coty, WWD has reported the deal is worth up to $20 million for Beyoncé over the next three years.

Earlier this year Forbes listed Knowles fourth on its list of the 100 Most Powerful and Influential Celebrities in the world, third on its list of the top-grossing musicians, and number one on the list of top paid celebrities under 30 with $87 million dollars in earnings within the last two years (2008 and 2009).

The new perfume line-up will launch in early 2010 in the Americas, with the international launch is planned later next year.
