Eva Longoria Parker to Launch Signature Perfume

Eva Longoria Parker, the not-so-desperate housewife, will launch her own brand of eau de parfum called Eva by Eva Longoria, come this Spring.

“I have always been somewhat allergic to all perfumes and really wanted to create something that every woman could wear,” said Longoria Parker.

“So I decided to create my own fragrance that is light, fresh and unique. I think the scent of a woman is extremely sexy and this scent will prove that.”

“Eva was involved from Day One with all aspects of the project,” said Jerome Falic, CEO of Duty Free Americas, parent company of Falic Fashion Group, in collaboration with whom the scent was developed.

“At the end of the day, it’s about Eva. She wanted something different, so we designed quite a few different [versions].”

“I never knew how complicated it was to create a unique scent that hasn’t already been done,” Longoria Parker added.

“But I enjoyed the process.”

The 1.7 oz bottle will carry a tag of $45, while the 3.4 oz bottle will be $58, and will top retailers such as as Macy’s and Dillard’s.

Gillette cuts Tiger Woods from ads

Golf world number one Tiger Woods will not be shaving with top shaving brand Gillette any more soon — at least not in advertisements.

As Woods’ public announcement of ‘infidelity’ towards wife Elin Nordegren picked up momentum yesterday, Boston-based Gillette, a unit of Procter & Gamble, became the first company to cancel the sponsorship, dealing what could be the first blow to the golfer’s $1 billion corporate empire.

However, the word is Gillette is not hacking all ties with Woods.

“Tiger is still part of Gillette,” said Gillette spokesman Mike Norton. “We support him as he takes a break from his professional career and that’s why we’re supporting him by limiting his role in our marketing programs.”

That appears to be fair enough, but what surfaces now is the question about how Woods’ other sponsors will react? Will Gillette’s decision to ‘temporarily’ stop using Woods set off similar knee jerk reactions in other top sponsors such as General Motors, Titleist, General Mills, American Express, Accenture, Nike, Gatorade… ?

A Stone for Louis Vuitton

Dutch supermodel Lara Stone is luxury leather goods and fashion brand Louis Vuitton’s new face for its Spring 2010 range.

The supermodel is throwing a super seductive pose amid doves, a patch of grass (isn’t green the color lately?) and ferns, and of course, Louis Vuitton bag and shoes on her 5′10″ body.

The August 2009 face of W magazine sports a Brigitte Bardot look, according to Antoine Arnault, Vuitton’s communication director.

“After two seasons with such a huge star, artistic director Marc Jacobs decided to take a breather and work with a model — and not just any model,” said Arnault.

“It’s the choice of a new supermodel. She clearly has a Brigitte Bardot look.” Well, Lara certainly has that sexy pout, no two thoughts about that.

With this, Stone, 25, has replaced pop celebrity Madonna as Vuitton’s spokesperson, while also following in the footsteps of celebs such as Sean Connery, Keith Richards and Mikhail Gorbachev.

The sexy shots by top Dutch photographer Desiree Dolron are set to appear in fashion glossies next month.

Diane Kruger to Model for L’Oreal Paris

Inglorious Basterds star Diane Kruger apparently is taking it easy with Hollywood for now — after signing up with cosmetics brand L’Oreal Paris to model its latest line-up of hair care, hair color and make-up.

“A highly accomplished actress, Diane Kruger has won us over with her personality, natural grace and elegance,” said Vianney Derville, international general manager of L’Oreal Paris.

German actress Kruger, 33, seems to reciprocate his sentiments. “I am delighted to be joining the other L’Oreal Paris spokespeople, an extremely talented, widely-admired group of people,” said Kruger.

Sources say L’Oreal is particularly pitching Kruger for its latest foundation called Mat’Morphose.
