Felicity Huffman is Lee National Denim Day Ambassador

Felicity Huffman, the not-so-desperate star of ABC’s Desperate Housewives, is the 2010 ambassador for Lee National Denim Day, a major single-day fundraiser for breast cancer.

Huffman, whose character Lynette Scavo has battled cancer on the show, will appear in a new public service campaign that encourages people to wear their jeans on October 8, in exchange for a $5 donation to support crucial breast cancer research and support services. The proceeds will benefit the women’s cancer programs of the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF).

“I have six sisters and two beautiful daughters—that’s eight women who mean the world to me,” said Huffman, 47.

“I support EIF and Lee National Denim Day because they fund programs that are making huge strides in breast cancer research and support. When everyone donates $5 each, we are able to raise millions in a single day. It’s about coming together to find a solution.”

Liz Cahill, VP of marketing and communications for Lee Jeans, said: “She [Huffman] is such a passionate supporter for our work with the Women’s Cancer Programs of EIF and our new partnership with Cancer Support Community. This year, Denim Day donations will not only help to fund valuable research initiatives; they’ll also help support cancer patients and their families, which is an incredibly important part of fighting this disease.”

The program has raised over $80 million to fight breast cancer since its inception in 1996. Learn more and hear a personal message from Felicity here (denimday.com).

Sienna Miller: Perfect for Piaget Possession

Call her a controversial celebrity, the permanent “It” girl or the serial dater, but Sienna Miller is the perfect choice to be the new face of Piaget Possession from the Swiss brand of luxury watches and fine jewelry.

The 28-year-old actress and fashion designer, best recalled (for most) from Factory Girl, Alfie and Layer Cake, is delighted to be representing Piaget who is marking the 20th anniversary of the stunning Possession collection.

“I’m thrilled to be working with Piaget,” Miller said.

“I think they’re a wonderful, classic brand. The jewelry is the spectacular. Very classic but funky too. Nowadays, everybody has such great style, so jewelry can really make it more individual.”

To create a series of iconic images of “one of the world’s fashionable women” (as put by Piaget), the company put together an A-list team of fashion industry professionals for a major photo shoot at Hudson Studios in New York. Piaget also roped in Raymond Meier, the legendary fashion photographer. There’s a video of the how-it-was-done available on Piaget site as well as on Facebook and YouTube.

In the meantime, did you hear about the wedding plans of Jude Law and Sienna? At the moment, the story is making the rounds, and earlier this month all Jude could say, when asked if he was going to propose to Sienna, was: “Not at the moment.”

Not much to read between the lines, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he did. Would you?

Kate Hudson: Almay’s Ambassador

Hollywood celebrity Kate Hudson has signed up as the global ambassador for Almay, a beauty brand in Revlon’s portfolio of color cosmetics, fragrances and hair and skincare products, among others.

In her new role, Kate will jazz up global multi-media campaigns that include television, print, in-store and internet placements for the new and existing Almay range, with her first TV and print campaigns slated to debut later this year.

“Almay is known for its fresh, effortless approach to beauty,” said Kate.

“At the end of the day we all want to have fun and feel beautiful – that’s what Almay is all about.”

The 31-year-old Golden Globe star will be involved in several of Revlon’s philanthropic and fundraising events. She will represent the brand at the Almay Rainforest Concert starting today at Carnegie Hall in New York City. The concert benefits The Rainforest Foundation, founded by Sting and Trudie Styler to support indigenous and traditional people of the world’s rainforests in their efforts to protect their environment.

We can expect to see Kate on the big screen next in Michael Winterbottom’s The Killer Inside Me with Casey Affleck and Jessica Alba and Earthbound with Kathy Bates and Whoopi Goldberg. Kate is currently filming the romantic comedy, Something Borrowed.

Vanessa Paradis Bags Chanel’s Coco Cocoon

French singer, model and actress Vanessa Paradis has replaced British celebrity Lily Allen as the face of Chanel handbags, the Coco Cocoon range, designed by none other than Karl Lagerfeld – or the Kaiser.

Chanel, the French fashion brand, has just released the new shoul campaign, featuring Paradis, 37, in alluring — if not outright seductive — poses and moods. The range is said to have been updated with new shapes, color and materials, but is still reminiscent of the quilted outside.

Karl expressed his delight shooting Paradis.

“I have often photographed her for magazines or advertising campaigns and each time it’s a pleasure,” he said.

“She really gives the impression that she is instantly on your level when you are working with her. People think she’s wonderful. She plays the game spontaneously, she is super natural.”

“And above all, she creates harmony all around her. We have formed a real bond in our working relationship. She has been to my studio a number of times, and it’s as if she were coming to the house for dinner,” the fashion design guru added.

By the way, didn’t the French celebrity replace Kirsten Dunst as the face of Prada’s Miu Miu not so long ago?

Calvin Klein Falls for Diane Kruger’s Clean Cuts

If there’s one thing that can be said about the gorgeous German-born Diane Kruger, it’s her chiseled looks. Clean and petite, perhaps that was one among many votes in her favor to become fashion and luxury brand Calvin Klein’s face for their new women’s fragrance, Beauty.

The 33-year-old stunner is a typical fashion goddess (who lent her face to L’Oreal Paris recently), and wearing Calvin Klein should come naturally to her.

Kruger will endorse the new scent in print ads as well as TV commercials… however, those will debut only this Fall, I hear.

“I admire the brand, not only for the quality and innovation of its products, but also because it represents diversity and excellence across the world, values which are very close to my heart,” Kruger said.

“I am, of course, also delighted to be joining the other L’Oreal Paris Spokespeople, an extremely talented, widely-admired group of people,” she added.

Look forward to seeing Kruger in Mr. Nobody, Inhale, Fringe this year and Unknown White Male and National Treasure 3 alongside Nicolas Cage and Helen Mirren in 2011.
