Appears “Mean Girls” star Lindsay Lohan is not so mean after all–she’s lending her name and fame in support of this year’s Visa Swap, which works in association with clothing charity TRAID (Textile Recycling for Aid and International Development).
Visa Swap encourages the fashion conscious people to swap their old designer clothes and exchange them for redeemable points on a Visa credit card. Allegedly, the more exclusive and more unique the apparel, the more credit the person will receive.
“I am so excited to be involved with this year’s Visa Swap event. The concept of swapping clothes, getting something for nothing and refreshing your wardrobe appeals to everyone,” Lindsay said. “Ethical stories continue to dominate the news agenda and it’s great when fashion projects benefit charities.”
“I had such a great time at the Visa Swap campaign shoot, the clothes I wore were all vintage designer pieces which you just don’t see every day!” she added. Obviously, Lindsay was quick to see the style perks that come with the campaign.
The swap takes place in London’s Covent Gardens. According to bittenandbound.com, Lindsay, who has fronted international campaigns for fashion brands such as Miu Miu, Versace, Jill Stuart and Donna Karen, has already donated an Issa dress, two pairs of Jimmy Choo heels and a Miu Miu bag.
