Stevi Lauren Perry, Miss Arkansas Teen USA was crowned Miss Teen USA 2008 at the Atlantis Paradise Island Resort, Nassau Bahamas in the first ever Miss Teen USA held outside the US.
The contestants competed in three categories: swimsuit, evening gown and interview. Eighteen-year-old Perry was crowned Miss Teen USA 2008 by Hilary Cruz, Miss Teen USA 2007 at the end of a dramatic two-hour pageant.
Perry, a resident of Hamburg, Arkansas, stands 5’5” tall, has worked as a model and actress. She’s looking forward to take them up both for a full-fledged career. She attends Hamburg High School, where she was crowned the homecoming queen and appeared in two music videos.
Perry’s $15,000 tiara was created by Mikimoto, and she’s also getting a two-year scholarship, worth more than $100,000 from the New York Film Academy and gets to keep her eveningwear gowns from Scala, designed by Sherri Hill.
