Sarah Jessica Parker: Set to Bite

One of Hollywood’s favorite fashion icons, Sarah Jessica Parker is making the best use of Carrie Bradshaw of ‘Sex and the City’ to launch her own fashion line, called Bitten.

Here is the first official glimpse of advertising for ‘Bitten’ on bittensjp.com, with Parker, 41, sporting the tagline “Fashion is not a luxury, it’s a right.”

Parker has teamed up with Steve & Barry’s chain of sportswear shops to make this range of “high-quality, but affordably-priced, sportswear for women.” Everyone’s tight-lipped about the details of the collection — so much so that catwalkqueen.com, which published some initial pictures of the ‘Bitten’ range were contacted by Steve & Barry to remove the images.

But if you hold any truth to the rumours, the Bitten range will consist of of over 400 items including wool and cashmere sweaters, dresses, handbags and… you guessed it, shoes!

At a recent exclusive lunch for top fashion editors, Parker said: “High quality, luxurious clothes do not need to cost as much as we’ve been led to think.”

The line will make its debut on June 7th at various Steve & Barry’s stores.

Eva Longoria Works Up Stylish Sweat

Desperate Housewives sexpot Eva Longoria shows off her athletic side in the new and the hottest yet Bebe Sport ad campaign launched Wednesday.

Says Eva, “I used to be an aerobics instructor so I really know what works well for that type of activity. I love how stylish and comfortable the collection is.”

She replaced Mischa Barton, because Bebe Sport figured Mischa was more bone than
meat and just couldn’t represent the bebe look attempting to appeal to a ‘modern, sexy, sophisticated, body-conscious woman who takes pride in her appearance’.

The campaign got a kick start at a party hosted by Cosmopolitan and Bebe to celebrate Eva as the new face of Bebe Sport held at the Skybar at the Mondrian Hotel on Wednesday in Los Angeles.

Longoria in her skivvies? Hmm…… Eva in her skivvies might be just the right inspiration to get some Bebe gear and work up some fasionable sweat!

There’s Something About Scarlett

Hollywood “It” girl Scarlett Johansson put on her running shoes and sweats to launch REEBOK’s latest celebrity athletic line at Nordstrom department stores.

The new “Scarlett ‘Hearts’ Rbk” collection comes as a stylish collaboration between the “world’s sexiest woman” (in a poll of readers by FHM magazine) and the active wear brand.

Scarlett Hearts Reebok“I had thought about doing a cotton line for a while and then was coincidentally approached by Reebok to do a casual lifestyle collection,” she said, wearing a blue sweat top with pretty heart cutouts in back and black leggings. “It seemed like the perfect combination.”

The Scarlett “Hearts” Rbk collection, in stores now, was inspired by the decade that launched aerobics headbands and scrunchy socks. 

The line features items such as; candy-colored racer tanks, hooded sweatshirt tunics, 1980s-inspired track jackets and baseball raglans with heart embossing, as well as a collection of retro looking athletic shoes in neon colors. Even the running shoes have an old-school feel with their blue and red vinyl sides and yellow or white stripes.

Scarlett Hearts ReebokThe “Black Dahlia” and “Match Point” star said she personally pawed through jackets and sneakers at vintage store racks to find the colors and styles she was looking for.

“We did a lot of shopping. I wanted to feel like I was designing for my friends.”

The shoes and track jackets retail for $89.99 while racerback tanks and tunics range from $39.99 to $99.99. So far, the feedback has been … shall we say, ‘hearty’?
