MTV Reality Show The Hills’ star Audrina Patridge has decided to play angel for animals in the new promotion for Peta (People for Ethical Treatment of Animals).

The Into the Blue 2 star recently debuted her Peta billboard that says “Be an angel for animals. ALWAYS ADOPT. NEVER BUY.”
Patridge says she she knew choosing to adopt from an animal shelter is the only way to ensure that a loving animal will not be killed because there simply aren’t enough good homes.
“I wanted to get involved with Peta because I’ve always been passionate about animals,” the 23-year-old actress told People magazine.
“And I think this is a great way to make people and all my fans aware of all the animals that need a home. And a lot of people go to pet stores and breeders to buy their animals, but you should adopt, so go to an animal shelter and rescue a dog.”
By the way, the cute little pooch in the poster is named Speedy Gonzales, which Patridge rescued herself. The picture is mounted on a huge billboard on Beverly Boulevard in LA.

Fashion designer-author-model-NBA wife Jackie Christie is set to launch her new clothing line ‘Colored Girl’ on May 9.

The ’semi-fashion’ line is said to introduce eco-friendly organic 100 per cent organic cotton T-shirts and accessories initially, but will be followed up with a ‘cool’ denim collection.
“I design with my heart and emotions, whatever I am feeling. I start there and I move with the vibe, not against it,” said Christie. So there ought to be some motivation to be doing that? I’ll not be surprised if it’s coming from her dedicated husband NBA superstar Doug Christie and their infinite love foundation.
Incidentally, the proceeds from her clothing line as well as her new book (Proud to Be a Colored Girl) will go to support single mothers and impoverished families worldwide.
“There are so many causes I’m involved with my true mission in life is to lend support to the underprivileged, and suffering. To try to bring about positive change in not just the world, but also the environment. To be honest it is very difficult to narrow it down to just one cause,” explained Jackie Christie.
Colored Girl line-up is said to be available initially online (jackiechristie.com) and in Seattle, LA and Atlanta stores, but it will be a limited edition. Why so?
Jackie says this has been done deliberately to ensure that women will come together more to get her pieces if her designs are not widely available at first.
Something like the demand-supply game, I’d guess.
