British supermodel Agyness Deyn has taken from Angelina Jolie as the face of Japanese cosmetics brand Shiseido, while in yet another move, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has replaced Deyn as Burberry spokesperson.
Say that again… kinda like that guess-what’s-under-this-cup game. Well, it’s out, and Shiseido has announced that Deyn, 24, will be the new face of their autumn/winter 2008-9 Maquillage campaign. Breath-takingly beautiful Angelina Jolie, 33, will be seeing the door after acting as their spokesperson for the last two years. So what happened? Did Deyn’s rather quirky appeal to youngsters make it home with Shiseido?
The Maquillage Fall 2008 collection, which includes Forming Shiny Eyes, Designer Cheek Colors and and Soft Brow Liners, will be released in Japan later this month.

Meanwhile, Burberry has replaced Agyness Deyn with arch rival Rosie Huntington-White.
The british luxury fashion house has tapped Rosie, 21, to front their autumn and winter campaign with actor Sam Riley.
“Agyness was really sweet and we used to hang out all the time. But when she became big she dropped me. I tried being her friend and texted her repeatedly for six months but she never replied, so I just gave up,” said Rosie. “Personally I think Agy’s look is a one-off season look but she has been so publicised and has such a big profile she’ll make it in the long term now. I wish her well.”
However, Deyn will continue to endorse Burberry fragrance The Beat.

Hollywood actress Uma Thurman filed a breach-of-contract lawsuit seeking at least $5 million against L’Oreal with allegations that the French cosmetics maker is continuing to use her image to sell its products after the expiry of a contract.
The “Kill Bill” star stated that Lancome Parfums et Beaute & Cie boosted its worldwide sales and enhanced its “prestige, stature and bargaining power” by use of her name and likeness in campaigns after her contract expired. According to the lawsuit, the agreement expired in September 2004 in Europe and in December 2004 for the rest of the world.
“The use of Ms Thurman’s image after her contract expired, however minor, was neither deliberate nor intentional,” said Jennifer James, spokesperson for L’Oréal. The statement also implied that any use of Thurman’s image after the contract had expired was a mistake, not a commercial ploy.
Thurman, 38, is best known for her role as a gangster’s moll in the 1994 film Pulp Fiction.
I’ll be following up on this one, so stick with me.

The 29-year-old star has signed a multi-million dollar three-year deal, shooting two ad campaigns per year, and has reportedly finished filming the first.

She is sexy and savvy with flawless skin and bags of attitude. She’s admired by young girls, she’s also a yummy mummy and men think she’s gorgeous.”
Mother of one, Sophie, who is married to rocker Richard Jones, 27 (from hit band The Feeling), scored pop hits with Groovejet and Murder On The Dancefloor. Daughter of ex-Blue Peter presenter Janet Ellis, Sophie became the face of fashion chain Monsoon in 2006, and beat rivals including T4 host Alexa Chung, 24, and Bond girl Gemma Arterton, 22 for the Rimmel deal.
