Megan Makes it Beyond Beyoncé for Armani

Hollywood actress-bombshell Megan Fox has signed up to promote Armani fragrances and fashions, replacing ‘Obsessed’ star Beyoncé Knowles in the Italian house’s upcoming campaigns.

Fans of Beyoncé will recall that she was set to promote Armani’s Emporio Armani Diamonds in 2007 and is said to have appeared in a campaign as well, though I might have missed it.

But now it appears more or less certain that the 23-year-old Transformers star is set to transform Armani’s image as well.

Lily Allen and Chanel — ‘First Look’

A picture can tell a thousand words — especially those ‘behind the scenes’. Like the one here, a ‘first look’ of the much-hyped Lily Allen-Chanel campaign posted on Chanel’s website, and Lily certainly looks ‘fun’ — the very reason Karl Lagerfeld chose her for this job.

Well, what the pic tells me is that the campaign will be a mix of traditional and modernistic, given the fake diamond-encrusted tiara and Lily’s boy cut cute hairdo. And Allen’s smile would take the center stage, undeniably. And Lagerfeld, even though you can’t see his face, appears to be deeply engrossed measuring up his ‘fun’ model.

While every other self-respectin’ celebrity blogger is blogging Allen’s ‘first look’, she has to go and create a controversy by sending a topless picture of herself to Kaiser Chiefs’ frontman Ricky Wilson.

Apparently, it was a mistake — the British singer was just fiddling with her cell phone, and the picture ‘got sent’.

Well, then, who hasn’t seen Lily Allen topless pictures? If you’re interested, I might have a couple in my old bag… but it’s not Chanel.

Emma Watson Face of Burberry, Shoots for ‘Crash’

Harry Potter fame Emma Watson recently signed a six-figure contract with British fashion brand Burberry, and now she’s busy again, with renowned photographer Karl Lagerfeld shooting her for French magazine ‘Crash’.

Watson, who celebrated her 19th birthday just a couple of weeks before, will be the new face of Burberry Autumn/Winter 2009 collection, the photo shoot for which got postponed because she didn’t appreciate the idea of being photographed alongside a bunch of girls.

Well, I guess when you’re Emma Watson, you can afford to get rid of the girls, and pose with four hunks instead (which, I hear, is what happened).

In another news, Karl Lagerfeld has been shooting Emma for ‘Crash’, and according to sources, she’s dressed as a nun in one of the shots.

Must appear like some kind of spin-off from Harry Potter series.

Freida Pinto is the New face of Estee Lauder

Slumdog Millionaire star Freida Pinto’s fame continues to skyrocket even after the Oscars — besides joining Woody Allen’s new flick, she’s also landed the role of being cosmetic giant Estee Lauder’s new spokesperson.

Some of us may be in the process of getting just a bit sick and tired of hearing the name ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, but apparently Estee Lauder is not.

Pinto, 24, recently was chosen to become Lauder’s first Asian spokesperson in deal reportedly worth $28,000 to the starlet.

The Mumbai-born actress and former model will now follow in the footsteps of Liz Hurley and Gwyneth Paltrow.

In the new Woody Allen film, Pinto will star alongside Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Hopkins and Antonio Banderas, with the shooting likely to begin in London this July.

Gisele Bündchen on the Rampage

Brazilian catwalk golden girl Gisele Bundchen is replacing model Petra Nemcova in Rampage’s spring/summer 2009 ad campaign.

Rampage, makers of dresses, sportswear, footwear, lingerie, and accessories, has hired the world’s highest paid supermodel to front their clothing for the next two years.

“Gisele was so involved with these shots,” said Dari Marder, chief marketing officer for Rampage. “She epitomizes the Rampage woman – beautiful, sexy, confident and independent.

“It was interesting to see what she picked out to wear — these pieces were some of our bestsellers. She picked the photographer, the hair stylist, makeup artist and she helped us craft the campaign, which is very unique for us.”

“What I like about Rampage is that it works for everyone,” was what Bündchen, 28, had to say about the junior sportswear brand.

The worldwide campaign will hit us with a bang on a Times Square billboard in April and later thru fashion glossies such as Cosmopolitan, In Style and Marie Claire.
