Lara Stone Wears Prada

Lara Stone, the celebrity Dutch model, who’s walked shows for nearly any self-respectin’ brand out there, and currently the face of Louis Vuitton and Versace, now includes Prada to her ever-growing resume.

Renowned photographer Steven Meisel captures Stone posing for Prada Parfums’ Infusion d’Iris, a contemporary perfume, in which “tradition and innovation fuse into a dreamlike ideal.”

To give you an idea, Sephora.com is selling the 1 oz eau de parfum spray at $56, 1.7 oz spray at $74 and the 3.4 oz spray at $100. What’s your take?

And in case you’re thinking what I thought before, here’s some news. Less than two months ago, Stone, 26, was ‘taken’. She had been dating British comedian David Walliams since late 2009, and Walliums proposed to her in Los Angeles to get her parents’ approval, conventional style.

So, Lara Stone wears Prada. Now… I didn’t say the ‘devil’, did I?

Jennifer Aniston on Perfume Trail

“The Bounty Hunter” celebrity Jennifer Aniston is set to cash in on her very recognizable face, body and name, of course, with the launch of her own brand of perfume.

Well, there appears to be catch. She can’t decide on the name yet, even after working on the new fragrance for nearly two years now. How come the celebrities are getting into this kind of a rather embarrassing situation about the name for their fragrance. Last week Rihanna was in the news asking her fans to suggest a name, and now Aniston.)

The word is she wants to use the word “Aniston”, but the executives (marketing?) are not happy with that. One choice was “Echo”, but that was rejected. No surprise there.

Well, Aniston, 42, had better decide on a name fast. Two more years, and the only choice for the name could be “Aniston Who?”

Got a Name for Rihanna’s New Perfume?

“Rated R” girl Rihanna is stuck for a name for her brand new fragrance. And she’s asking her fans to suggest a name.

The Barbadian singer had initially wanted to call the fragrance Route 22, but it now appears like she’s looking for ideas from her fan base — after all, they’re the ones who are likely to buy it first when it rolls out around October.

“I’ve been right there with a chemist mixing the formulas,” said Rihanna, 22. “I wanted this to be the fragrance no man can resist – and it is!”

So there now, you have a clue to the kind of name she’s looking for… so shake it up and you’ll probably hit the jackpot.

If you think you’ve got it, you can submit it via via RihannaDaily.com, a fan website by clicking HERE.

The submissions page also lists names suggested so far, which are about 160 in number, and counting…

And umm.. coming back to the ‘jackpot’, I couldn’t find anywhere if there will be some kind of award for the winner or not. Perhaps the smell of success is prize enough for some.

Eva Longoria Parker to Launch Signature Perfume

Eva Longoria Parker, the not-so-desperate housewife, will launch her own brand of eau de parfum called Eva by Eva Longoria, come this Spring.

“I have always been somewhat allergic to all perfumes and really wanted to create something that every woman could wear,” said Longoria Parker.

“So I decided to create my own fragrance that is light, fresh and unique. I think the scent of a woman is extremely sexy and this scent will prove that.”

“Eva was involved from Day One with all aspects of the project,” said Jerome Falic, CEO of Duty Free Americas, parent company of Falic Fashion Group, in collaboration with whom the scent was developed.

“At the end of the day, it’s about Eva. She wanted something different, so we designed quite a few different [versions].”

“I never knew how complicated it was to create a unique scent that hasn’t already been done,” Longoria Parker added.

“But I enjoyed the process.”

The 1.7 oz bottle will carry a tag of $45, while the 3.4 oz bottle will be $58, and will top retailers such as as Macy’s and Dillard’s.

Naomi-Claudia-Eva, the Super Trio for D&G’s Anthology

Forever supermodels Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer and Eva Herzigova have joined hands to launch Dolce & Gabbana’s debut perfume collection Anthology.

The D&G Anthology is a set of five different Eau de Toilettes, each named after a Tarot card alongside their Tarot numbers. The presentation goes like “(1) the provocative Le Bateleur, (3) the irrepressible L’Imperatrice, (6) sensual L’Amoureaux, (10) daring La Roue de la Fortune and (18) hypnotizing La Lune,” says D&G on its website.

Is there a moral, however wicked, behind the Tarot themes? Of course there is. “You play your cards and the personality of each fragrance should reflect that there,” says fragrance expert Michael Edwards.

Now, that raises the inevitable question, which supermodel inspired which scent? Well, according to look.co.uk, Claudia Schiffer is ‘La Lune’ (the moon), Eva Herzigova ‘La Roue de la Fortune’ (the wheel of fortune) and as you might have guessed by now, Naomi Campbell represents ‘L’Imperatrice’(the emperor).

Each of these bottles here is tagged $99, and expected to be available at Myer Stores today (October 4).
