Josh Hartnett for Armani Diamonds

Hollywood star Josh Hartnett is the new face of Emporio Armani’s newest fragrance for men, called “Emporio Armani Diamonds for Men.”

Josh HartnettThe 29-year-old Pearl Harbor star, ex-boy friend of Scarlett Johansson, is set to be unveiled as the spokesperson of the Italian fashion house’s fragrance, Emporio Armani Diamonds for Men in a ceremony during Milan’s Spring/Summer fashion week next year.

Giorgio Armani is a happy man. “Both on and off screen he has a charm and charisma that is magnetic,” he said. “His individuality, allure and nonchalant way of being are all qualities which inspired me in the creation of this new fragrance.”

My readers will recall my post on Beyonce signing up as the face of Emporio Armani Diamonds for Women last year.

James Franco to Promote New Gucci’s Perfume

Hollywood star James Franco has been confirmed as the face of Gucci’s new fragrance for men.

Are we seeing a spurt in male celebrities endorsing colognes? Off hand, I can recall Justin Timberlake’s agenda with Givenchy and Patrick Dempsey’s with Avon.

Franco, 29, known for his role of Harry Osborne in the Spider-Man series, is following the parade of Gucci girls who have previously endorsed Gucci perfumes for women, including Raquel Zimmerman, Natasha Poly and Freja Beha Erichsen.

The male version of the perfume, which again has been developed by the Prestige Products division of Procter & Gamble, is set to hit the stores this autumn.

Jude Law Still Rules

Jude Law is the new face of Dior’s global campaign for Parfums Christian Dior.

And this will be only outside the UK and the US. Huh? Outside the biggest parfum markets in the world? Does it make scents?.. I mean, sense?

Jude LawWell, while I can’t digest this, industry reports go on to say that until Law starts modeling for Dior, he will still be working on “The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus”, the flick Heath Ledger was on when he passed away.

Law is presently in Vancouver getting ready to film. He will take over for Heath in the Terry Gilliam-directed film, his character also being played by Johnny Depp and Colin Farrell as a tribute to the late actor.

The release schedule for the perfume is not finalized and that means Law can still be seen in the Dunhill ads, which he took up recently.

The grapevine opines that there’s a possibility that Jude could be working with Bond girl Eva Green, who has earlier represented Midnight Poison for Dior in spectacular style.

Dempsey will be creative director of the project, while his wife makeup artist Jillian Dempsey, has been Avon’s global creative color director since 2006.

“This will be arguably the strongest franchise in the company’s history,” said Andrea Jung, chairman and CEO of Avon. “”We’re extremely impressed with both his on and off screen accomplishments, and have a shared commitment to giving back to communities in ways both big and small. We applaud his efforts earlier this month to open the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing in Maine, and look forward to exploring future collaboration opportunities with our Avon Foundation.”

“This is an extremely exciting opportunity for me to work with Avon — a brand I have long respected as a global powerhouse with a lot of heart and soul,” said Dempsey.

Dempsey, 41, has won the Screen Actors Guild Award 2007 and People’s Choice Award 2007 for his role as Dr. Shepherd on the ABC TV serial, Grey’s Anatomy. Come May 2, we will see him on the big screen in the romantic comedy Made of Honor.

Ewan McGregor: Davidoff’s ‘Adventure’ Face

Scottish actor Ewan McGregor is the latest celebrity to join the Coty fragrance bandwagon — or should I say motorcycle?

McGregor will be seen worldwide television and print ads for the new Davidoff Adventure, following in the footsteps of Lost star Josh Holloway.

Ewan McGregor: Face of Davidoff’s ‘Adventure’

“The fragrance is about what I’m about,” said McGregor, who was in London this week to launch the new perfume line. “My greatest passion is motorcycling, which I see as a huge adventure. This fragrance appeals to people’s sense of adventure, and I am very flattered to be associated with it.”

Davidoff Adventure is a “fresh, woody and spicy” scent, and was developed by perfumer Antoine Lie. The notes include mandarin, lemon, bergamot, black sesame, pimento, cedar, vetiver and white musk.

“Ewan McGregor is a natural choice to represent Davidoff’s new male fragrance. Not only is he one of the most talented actors of his generation, but he also has a charisma and an authenticity that will be very important for the new Davidoff Adventure fragrance,” Francoise Mariez of Coty Prestige, said in a statement.

McGregor also took time out between film projects to embark a 20,000-mile motorcycle trip for the documentaries “Long Way Round” and “Long Way Down,” which revealed his adventurous real-life personality, the beauty company noted.

He has starred in films such as “The Island”, “Big Fish”, and his latest release is Woody Allen’s “Cassandra’s Dream” (2007).
