Czech supermodel Petra Nemcova was unveiled as the new spokesperson for German mail order house Otto at the company’s HQ in Hamburg, Germany earlier today.

Not more than a week ago, Nemcova, 29, had donated more than 150 computers - along with other educational equipment - to The Andrew H. Wilson Charter Elementary School in New Orleans.
“While the Happy Hearts Fund has provided children and schools in disaster-stricken, underprivileged communities with computers around the globe, the Andrew H. Wilson Charter School is the first recipient in New Orleans, and in the U.S.,” said Nemcova. “It’s evident that after disaster strikes, once the cameras disappear, so does much of the help. Each and every one of these students is a survivor of Hurricane Katrina, and we hope that by supporting them, not only will their lives and educational opportunities improve, but also those of future Wilson School students.”
The sizzling hottie posed for photographers generously at the event. Some pics from the event along with other modeling images of Petra here:

If there’s one successful thing I’ve learned from writing this blog, it’s that names sell. What I mean is brands, of course. A celebrity brand such as Jessica Simpson Shoes stands a much better chance of being noticed and picked up by customers whether online or in-store. However, there are other attributes that go into successful enterprises as well, and probably the most important of them all is whether you have a strong franchise to back you.
However, marriages may be made in heaven, but franchises are definitely made on earth. It’s crucial to find a franchise that meets your needs more than half-way. But how are you going to find detailed financial as well as franchise information in the business of your choice?

This is where America’s Best Franchises steps in with an assortment of franchises for sale with notes on every franchise opportunity. The content rich franchise information offers tips on finding franchises and business opportunities. To start with, you can browse through franchises with your budget as the platform–the categories range in steps of $50,000 up to half a million dollars and then you have the high capital franchises.
Or you can browse through the franchises by type–starting from business and finance to food and sports and computer franchises. Here’s the opportunity for all wanna-be entrepreneurs to review different industries, brands, and choices to ensure long-term success. Franchises bring in steady streams of income for owners, investors, and franchisees alike. Add to this the fact that a franchise business helps you set up your business faster and generate more income since the franchise provides the tools to set up shop and get going right away.

As a celebrity news blogger, I’ve heard people raving and ranting about how lovely Jennifer Anniston looked when she married Brad Pitt in a fairy tale gown or how how divine Sandra Bullock’s appeared in a $26,000 designer strapless, antique white lace dress during her wedding to biker Jesse James. Now, you can be sure you can give them en eyeful with a choice of some superb designer collections available online at bestbridalprices.com. The first thing that hits you in the array of wedding and bridal dresses is the designer collection. Surely you’ve heard of Alfred Angelo Wedding Dresses or the Casablanca Bridals? Adult star Jenna Jameson, who’s been called “The Queen of Porn”, is telling people to put down their leather whips and use “pleather” instead.
The “Pleather Yourself” PETA ad, unveiled at Smashbox Studios in LA, features Jameson in a black wig and skimpy leather lingerie evoking 1950’s pin-up girl Betty Paige.

“It’s okay to be an animal in bed but not at the expense of real animals. If I can show off the hot look of Pleather and convert a few leather lovers, then mission accomplished,” Jenna said.
She says she has embraced the synthetic leather without question. “I live half my life in Pleather… it’s so fun and sexy!”
Jenna, 33, said she was touched by the animal rights cause by Joaquin Phoenix’s animal husbandry documentary, Earthlings.
“I watched Earthlings and I was so shocked. I turned to my best friend and said, ‘I think my life just got changed.’ A week later I was talking to PETA.”

“Many years ago, I was fishing, and as I was reeling in the poor fish, I realized, ‘I am killing him – all for the passing pleasure it brings me.’ Something inside me clicked. I realized as I watched him fight for breath that his life was as important to him as mine is to me.
“I am Paul McCartney, and I am a vegetarian.”
Says former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney in this ad for PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). Photographed here wearing a trilby and a T-shirt with the words “Eat No” over a sketch of a cow, McCartney, 65, said he believed if the world rejected meat it could mean the end of famine.
“If anyone wants to save the planet, all they have to do is just stop eating meat,” he told Usmagazine.com. “That’s the single most important thing you could do. Vegetarianism takes care of so many things in one shot: ecology, famine, cruelty.”
“It’s staggering when you think about it,” he added.
Reports are in that we will soon see vegetarian testimonials of Pam Anderson, Forest Whitaker, Casey Affleck and Alicia Silverstone.

Marriages may be made in heaven, but the planning and preparations definitely have to be made here on Earth. And if you’re getting married in Southern California’s Orange County (which is barely a degree lesser than heaven), you certainly don’t want to have anything to do the hassles of planning the wedding.
Anyone who has ever been to a wedding would know that there could be a zillion things to take care of and plan for, and almost all of them are crucial for that magical wedding. Now, thinking about it, you can actually kill two birds with one — make the time for yourself to indulge in the pleasures of Southern california’s loveliest beaches AND eliminate the problems of wedding planning simply by reaching out to the professionals who know Orange County weddings the best.
Then again, how do you zero in on the professionals? Wouldn’t that again be a lof hunting around and researching? Well, the answer is No.
I just discovered orangecounty.1weddingsource.com, an online wedding directory and planner. It’s a rich hub pooling the best resources one could possibly find for planning an Orange Coutny wedding. You’ll some of the best and the most wedding vendors to take care of each and every tiny bit of your wedding, starting from invitations to the ‘Just-Married’ limousine.
Worried about that perfect bridal gown? Considering a themed wedding? Not sure how to go about with catering? Whatever your concern, you’ll find some of the most reputable and efficient vendors on this site who can meet your requirements, and possibly suggest alternatives as well.
The process is simple enough. For instance, if you check out the photographers link on the site, you’ll be presented with a list of 18 professional phorographers (at the time of writing). You then have the option of finding out more about any photographers who interests you by visiting their website, or you could simply fill in an online form with your queries and let them contact you. This way, you improve your chances of finding your ideal photographer.
So whether it’s the band and bouquet or the cake and the make-up that you’re looking for help with, you find some of the best OC vendors at OrangeCounty.1Weddingsource.com. You’ll also find a host of articles related to wedding planning, ranging from wedding cakes and locations in Orange County to wedding gown preservation and how to choose bridesmaid dresses or how to plan the ultimate bachelo(ette) party. The flip side? I just wish that the site provided some kind of ratings for the vendors, by quality of service, budget range, consultancy expertise, etc. That would be an additional help in deciding which vendors might possibly suit you best.
