Sara Carbonero is the New Face of Pantene

Drop-dead gorgeous Spanish TV presenter Sara Carbonero will now stand for something more glamorous than just sports news – she’s been chosen to represent Pantene Pro-V, the leading hair care brand in Spain.

Girlfriend of Spain’s national football team Iker Casillas, who led his team to Spain’s first ever FIFA World Cup, the 26-year-old cutie was recently voted The Sexiest Reporter in the World by FHM USA.

Some say it was Casillas’ unexpected kiss on live TV that catapulted her into celebrity status, but I don’t quite agree. Anyone who’s so lovely as Sara just can’t avoid fame! And scoring goals with the world’s top brands, either.

Good luck, Sara. I’m so glad we’ll be seeing more of you.

Alexa Ray Joel to Press for Prell

‘Like mother, like daughter’ has never come true so beautifully — yet. Alexa Ray Joel will show off her tresses for Prell, nearly a quarter of century after her supermodel mother Christie Brinkley showed off hers for the same brand.

Singer-songwriter-pianist Alexa, daughter of celebrity singer Billy Joel, will appear in fashion glossies and TV commercials for the shampoo created by P&G in 1947. The word is that the commercials will feature Alexa’s music as well.

“I am so excited and honored to be named the new face of Prell — especially following in the footsteps of my mother, who was a Prell girl,” said Alexa, 24.

Diane Kruger to Model for L’Oreal Paris

Inglorious Basterds star Diane Kruger apparently is taking it easy with Hollywood for now — after signing up with cosmetics brand L’Oreal Paris to model its latest line-up of hair care, hair color and make-up.

“A highly accomplished actress, Diane Kruger has won us over with her personality, natural grace and elegance,” said Vianney Derville, international general manager of L’Oreal Paris.

German actress Kruger, 33, seems to reciprocate his sentiments. “I am delighted to be joining the other L’Oreal Paris spokespeople, an extremely talented, widely-admired group of people,” said Kruger.

Sources say L’Oreal is particularly pitching Kruger for its latest foundation called Mat’Morphose.

Emmanuelle Chriqui to Lead Men’s Body Grooming from Braun

Star of HBO’s Entourage, Emmanuelle Chriqui will help Braun launch a women’s movement for well-groomed men, called the “bodycruZade”, the world’s first all-in-one body groomer featuring Gillette Fusion shaving technology.

Just how would Chriqui help a campaign for grooming for men?

Recent Gillette surveys on male body grooming revealed that only one-third of men age 24-34 shave, wax or trim below the neck but that 57 percent of men would change their body grooming habits if they received a negative reaction from their sexual partner.

The survey also said that 63 per cent of American women are turned on by a well groomed chest. Okay, I can take it. And 69 per cent said one of the best reasons to bodygroom is to appear more attractive to a potential partner. And over 50 per cent said they felt most comfortable seeking body grooming advice from their significant other.

Chriqui, 32, will feature in an online video introducing the bodycruZade movement. Also, the Braun bodycruZade Web site features a customizable video that allows women to send a message to their favorite guy praising his body grooming habits to reinforce the positive reactions a well-groomed man receives when he grooms below the neck.

Cheryl Cole to Pitch L’Oreal Paris’ Hair Restore

The British X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has just signed up to be the spokeswoman for beauty brand L’Oreal Paris’ new hair care range called Elvive Full Restore 5.

In a deal believed to be worth more than $850,000 to start with, Cole will promote L’Oreal’s Restore 5 which is expected to strengthen, soften, thicken, revitalize and add shine to hair.

The 26-year-old Girls Aloud celebrity, who also graced the cover of the February 2009 issue of British Vogue, said:

“I have always loved the brand and have always wanted to say the iconic phrase ‘Because you’re worth it’ so to be given that opportunity is absolutely amazing.

“Every woman has the right to feel beautiful.”

“Cheryl is a glamorous, stylish and talented young woman whose warmth and charm has captivated the nation and helped to establish her as an inspiration to women throughout the UK,” said Gail Tait, L’Oreal Paris general manager.

I think Cheryl is just the right kind of pretty, petite and sassy girl who’ll fit the L’Oreal’s advertsing campaign to a T.
