American R&B singer-songwriter and record producer Keyshia Cole will endorse Luster’s Pink Brand Smooth Touch Limited Edition relaxer kits.
Sources said Cole, 24, was carefully selected and stood for the qualities the Luster Products company was looking for in targeting their target audience audience of women between 16 and 24 years of age.

“When we were thinking about the image and benefits of Smooth Touch, Keyshia Cole was a perfect choice,” said Jory Luster, president of Luster Products. “It was important to us to work with someone who already had success and visibility, but also could relate to our target and be someone they would want to emulate. Keyshia is young, talented, beautiful and has an electric personality. She perfectly represents the woman who uses Smooth Touch products.”
Luster’s Pink Brand Smooth Touch line of hair care products is expected to hit stores this summer.

Admin Note: Reposted to reflect the brand new design of Compare-GHD website.
Sometimes I wonder if the women I see on TV ever get old? While common sense dictates they should and do, what is it they do differently that has an age-reversing effect on them? A closer look tells me that, other than cosmetic surgery, special diets and workouts, the ultimate secret of eternal good looks–they all take excellent care of their hair and choose the right hairstyle to suit their face and match the occasion.

What is the one thing the fantastic looks of these celebrities have in common? You guessed it–it’s their glamorous hair. Well, that’s not all there is to it. They all use GHD straighteners, too, to keep their hair looking sleek, smooth and shiny–and celebrity-like!
And now, non-celebrities like us don’t need to strive to too hard to achieve a celebrity-like hair-do. We too can have the GHD hair straighteners, considered the pinnacle of hair styling products.
GHD has gained a worldwide reputation for excellence in hair stylers and hair straighteners. The hair doesn’t get pulled or stretched and looks smooth and glossy after the styling. Depending on your choice, you may also curl, twist, flick, wave, bounce, ringlet, lift and frizz the hair.
With the sky rocketing popularity of GHD products, naturally, there has been concern that fake GHD products are being sold through salons and on websites. However, Compare-GHD is one online outlet where you never have to worry about buying a GHD fake. Compare-GHD researchers monitor the web constantly and show you the best value on GHD products from official GHD retailers. The prices are reliable and you’ll also find that Compare-GHD offers you some of the best deals on GHD straighteners and hair care.
October is the month of pink–Breast Cancer Awareness month. To highlight this cause, GHD has launched the limited edition Pink mk4 ceramic hair styler. GHD will donate £10 to Breakthrough Breast Cancer from every pink GHD styler sold. Last year alone 55,000 pink stylers were sold raising £404,650 for charity. The pink GHD straightener is a limited edition and comes with a gorgeous hot pink carry case and detachable roll mat.
While all these products are exciting enough, GHD does have some special up its sleeve for the upcoming holiday season–the GHD Christmas Gift Bag 2007, which is a limited edition as well and is all set to be the seasonal must have.
The Christmas Gift Bag is suave and elegant, with a load of beauty goodies tucked in. The travel sized thermodynamics range includes the GHD mk4 styler, GHD styling bag, GHD shampoo, GHD conditioner, opulence mask, obedience cream, thermal protector for hair and a styling bag. The Gift Bag itself is a luxuriously cream soft leather bag which unzips to form a heat resistant mat. The expertly designed bag is versatile that is perfect for a night out or travelling–not to mention being a unique gift to warm up the Christmas cheer!
And that’s just not about all. At Compare-GHD, you’ll also find the legendary mk4, the summer gift bag, the mini straightener as well as the new mk5 scheduled for launch in 2008.

This is a follow-up on my earlier post of July 25, 2007:
Hilary Swank to Promote Charity Campaign
Oscar-winner Hilary Swank has let talk-show host Oprah Winfrey chop off a little more than 9 inches of her hair on “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”

The “Million Dollar Baby” star, 33, has been growing and strengthening her hair by taking vitamins and moisturizing–all for the sake of Pantene’s Beautiful Lengths campaign, which takes donated hair and makes it into wigs for cancer patients.
“I’ve had a lot of people in my life, loved ones and friends who have been devastated by cancer,” Hilary said. “I’m really thankful for my health and I wanted to find a way to give back.”
“Eight percent won’t get their potentially life-saving treatment because they don’t want to lose their hair,” she added. “I thought, ‘Here’s my hair. Cut it off. Save your life!’”
“It’s taken months to get to this moment,” said Winfrey. “It involves a two-time Academy Award winner, a sharp object, and me.”

“So if this talk show-acting-producing stuff for you doesn’t work out, you have a whole new career in haircutting,” Hilary joked after the shear. “We know you can do everything. But really, now you can cut hair like this?”

Oscar-winning actress Hilary Swank has signed with Pantene to become the new face of ‘Pantene Beautiful Lengths’ Charity.
The Pantene drive is aimed at supporting women who’ve lost their hair in the course of treatment for cancer. Hilary will encourage people to grow their hair, cut it off and then donate it to create wigs for women who’ve lost their hair.
And she’s getting personally involved in the campaign in terms of cut her own locks for the cause.
“I have lost multiple family members to cancer and witnessed their struggle first hand,” Hilary said in a statement. “I’ve never heard of anything quite like Pantene Beautiful Lengths, and I’m proud to be asked to promote the goals of such a unique and heartfelt program.”
According to femalefirst.co.uk, a recent study revealed that 58 percent of women consider hair loss to be the most dreaded side effect they face when undergoing chemotherapy.
Pantene has partnered with the Entertainment Industry Foundation to launch the Pantene Beautiful Lengths campaign which will start early 2008.
Now… isn’t that a noble thing to do? To inspire confidence? At any level?
How many of us choose to sacrifice anything for the sake of a stranger… even for monetary gain? I wouldn’t.
All I’m saying is that there are still some people in the world who do that. Only the ones who are so full of life that they can share it with another.
