Call it a coincidence if you would, but the day pop star Christina Aguilera decides to show off her one-month old son Max, is also the day she’s inspired a new sterling silver collection.
Designed by none other than her friend London jewelry designer Stephen Webster, the first collection, Shattered, is mainly made from sterling silver, 18-karat gold and gemstones such as jade, chalcedony, goldstone, hematite and white agate and is expected to have about about 50 styles of rings, cuffs, pendants and earrings.
Punk-inspired Superstud, the second collection, features aroung 40 styles based on biker studs.

“We did it by demand — we’ve always had a younger following,” said Webster. “It’s our biggest launch ever, and a new direction for us.
“She was a real coup for us. She’s our longest-term regular client and the right age for the brand. We think she’s in the most glamorous period of her life right now, and she is the main source of inspiration behind the collection.”
“Working together on this campaign and collection has been an incredible experience. I am honored to be a part of it all,” said Aguilera.
The Stephen Webster Silver Collection will launch in Switzerland at Baselworld early next month, before hitting key department stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue.
Meanwhile, Christina Aguilera, who had for months kept the news of her pregnancy a secret, proudly shared the pictures of her son Max with the readers of HELLO! magazine. The beautiful 27-year-old and her music executive husband Jordan Bratman invited the magazine into their Beverly Hills mansion to meet their baby son, Max Liron, who was born on January 12.
“We can’t stop staring at him,” says the platinum-haired singer in the exclusive interview, which appears in this week’s issue of the magazine. “We study him; he studies us back. It’s an unbelievable experience, a beautiful time in our lives.”
In the photo-packed, 13-page report Christina describes her surprise pregnancy, and reveals the new depth Max has brought to her life and relationship with her husband. She also shares her hopes and dreams for their child, and details her plans to balance work and motherhood.

However varied the opinions of style gurus and fashion forecasters could be, the one thing they all seem to agree upon is that 2008 will see a massive leaning towards celebrity style. Jewelry lovers will testify that minimalist styles of yester year are yielding to hot runway designs of spectacular fashion jewelry and accessories.
So what are the predictions? While cubic zirconia and neon colors are safe bets, the fashion pool for 2008 will also see a number of celebrity trends making the splash. However, the best part of the story is that you don’t need to have the bank balance of a celebrity to own celebrity style jewelry and accessories.
Enter Tano Jewelry. This is one of the most affordable online boutique for an array of what’s the hottest in celebrity fashion, ranging from necklaces and bracelets to earrings and headbands.

Jennifer Lopez and Ashley Simpson are just a couple of the top Hollywood stars who’ve brought a new sheen to earrings and wood bangles, with the latter seeming to rule the roost in celebrity fashion circles.
Tano Jewelry offers some affordable, lightweight wood bangles in bright designs, hand-made and hand-painted with glossy finish. This year, fashion headbands seem to have taken on a new dimension altogether, what with Paris Hilton and Jessica Simpson popularizing them. (Seen Simpson’s ‘Blonde Ambition’? You’ll know what I’m talking about.) Tano claims all their headbands are less than $15 and that’s an offer you can’t refuse!
Designer headbands have made a comeback, as well as Houndstooth headbands, in the most sought-after colors with suede inseam. While you’re browsing, don’t miss the Skinny Wire and Scarf headbands–they’re a rage this season!
Tano Jewelry also has an irreristible offer of wholesale fashion jewelry. The wholesale catalog range includes wholesale necklaces, bangles, bracelets, earrings and headbands, as well as some fantastic wholesale jewelry sets.

Talk-show viewers and cooking enthusiasts across the US will know what I’m talking about–Rachel Ray is one among today’s top celebrities who appreciates fine, sensitive and creative jewelry. Now, I’m writing this post just for those of my lovely readers who are rather picky about choosing Valentine’s gifts for their precious loved ones. If what Wendy says about designing jewelry, “When designing jewelry, I find my inspirations come from a love for challenge–to balance functionality, wearability, art, quality, and aesthtics…” is any clue, you’re right on!
Apart from celebrities and and fashionistas, Wendy’s designs have made their foray into top-of-the-line publications such as InStyle, Lucky, Redbook, People and Daily Candy. I spent a good deal of my time browsing Wendy Culpepper’s jewelry, and what I finally fell for was the fantastic cratsmanship of her 18k jewelry.
But that’s what I think. I ought to leave it to you guys to discover what suits your Valentine… within the next five days! Then again, it might help you make a decision to learn that Wendy is offering a 20 per cent off until February 14th with free shipping.
Happy Valentine’s! And remember to drive safely.
