Emma Watson, yeah, THE Emma Watson, apparently, has some learning to do, and since it has nothing to do with witchcraft, she’ll be doing it at Brown University, a member of the Ivy League.
Paste magazine tells us that Emma has confirmed she will enroll as a college freshman this fall at Brown, in Rhode Island.
“I am going to Brown, I’ve got a place there to read literature,” she revealed to the music, film and culture magazine.
Is she worried that her celebrity status might come in the way of her studies?
I’d guess not, from what Emma has to say about it: “That’s inevitable [getting recognized as 'the star'], I suppose, some of them must have seen the films over the years. But I do hope that it will be only a short time before I am known as ‘Emma Watson, the student from the UK’ rather than ‘Emma Watson who starred in those Harry Potter films’.”
When asked if it was a deliberate choice to step out of the limelight, Emma replied, “It’s not so much that, no, I’m not trying to hide or anything like that. It sounds so geeky, but I really do like studying and reading, and if I’m not working on Harry Potter, then my greatest relaxation is to sit with a book.
“That’s how I escape stress—in literature. I always have several books on the go at any one moment, so it’s no good you asking ‘What’s on the bedside table at the moment, Emma?’ because often I can’t even see the table! I think that all that reading is just about the only similarity I have with Hermione, if you ask me.”
Emma has had a spell of a straight A’s all her academic career, and I don’t see any reason why Brown should be different for her. Good luck, Emma.

The teen singing sensation Miley Cyrus — also author and actress — says that, of the teen clothing line she created teaming up with designer Max Azria, “the jeans are my favorite part of the entire line” in the August issue of Elle magazine, US edition.

The trendy couture Miley Cyrus/Max Azria line is set to hit Wal-Mart stores across the nation next month. The line will include pants, tops, graphic T-shirts, shoes and accessories. All items will be priced under $20.
“Because, like, literally this is going to be good for, like, Middle America, and it will be great for kids that really want to be in fashion but that don’t have it available,” the 16-year-old Hannah Montana star continued.
“I would pay $500 for the jeans that we make for $20. I’m really into high fashion.” Wow — now, that’s a statement.
Max Azria clothes have been fancied by many Hollywood celebrities in the past, and Miley says she has every reason to believe they will bring a new vibrancy among the kids.

LIFE is publishing a Michael Jackson commemorative edition entitled LIFE Michael: 1958-2009, with rare, intimate, and never-before-seen photos which capture the Thriller superstar in full.
Retailing at US $11.99, it hits newsstands today (July 10).
It is an intimate portrait of the artist like no other and a chronicle of an extraordinary American life, with many photographs taken exclusively for LIFE from the LIFE archives.

Millions of photographs of Michael Jackson have been taken, and have been seen by billions, but LIFE is capturing the personal side of Jackson — from his earliest days in the Jackson 5 to the era of Neverland, when they were firmly closed to the outside world.
LIFE’s photo team reveals some legendary moments for LIFE Michael, including photographs by John Olson and his now-famous photo essay on rockers and their parents; the book includes Olson’s cover image of Michael as well as a frame featuring Janet Jackson as a toddler that never made it into the pages of the magazine.
Also featured are images from the storied Scottish photojournalist Harry Benson. Twice on assignment for LIFE, in the 1980s and 1990s, Benson took exquisite, intimate portraits of Jackson, including many taken at his Neverland ranch.
“In the week following Jackson’s death, LIFE.com produced a number of galleries covering all aspects of the performer’s incredible career,” said LIFE president Andy Blau.
“The popularity of these galleries speaks volumes about the devotion of fans for the King of Pop and the great desire to see and know more. With this new edition we’re not only able to offer a keepsake collection but we can also include some never-before-seen photos exclusive to the book.”
LIFE Michael includes many of the powerful and intimate images that helped make Jackson an icon and the rarely seen images that give readers a glimpse into the performer’s private life.

Brazilian supermodel, the face of a number of celebrity brands, Gisele Bundchen, while looking so hot, also does something to cool the planet… by looking more hot!
Bundchen has appeared on the cover of Photo Grance’s June issue in an attempt to remind us of the World Environment Day, which happens to be today (June 5), in case you forgot looking at her cover photo here:

Once you’re done doing your bit for the environment, you might want to check out some photos of Bundchen in Calzedonia’s ads for its range of summer bikinis as well. This has nothing to do with the world environment, unless you consider saving on clothes somehow has a beneficial effect on global warming:

Mark Sanchez, New York Jets all-American quarterback will be featured in the June issue of GQ, modeling what’s claimed to be this summer’s ’sexiest ’70s-inspired swimwear’… and to help prove the point, he’ll be joined by supermodel Hilary Rhoda, 2009 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue girl.
“I wouldn’t necessarily be caught in those shorts,” Sanchez, 22, said. Who was he kidding? I mean, would he have the time or the inclination to worry even about the Baywatch-style swimwear, especially when in the arms of Hilary?
“She was just giving me pointers the whole time. She made me feel really…comfortable,” Sanchez added. “Yeah, she’s, uh…Well, obviously she’s gorgeous.”
Glad you think so, Mark. We certainly do. And… are they dating? Now… that’s actually out of the scope of this blog, but if you’d like to make a guess, you’d most probably be right!
Hilary Rhoda, well… you just can’t have enough of her. The 21-year-old model, whose fame has been sky-rocketing, has already posed for brands such as Balenciaga, Valentino, Dolce & Gabana, Givenchy, Donna Karan, Gucci and Ralph Lauren among others. She is also one of Estée Lauder’s newest faces and has also graced the covers of Vogue, British Harper’s Bazaar and W.
Some pictures of the totally hot Hilary Rhoda from the 2009 SI Swimsuit issue. Go on, click and zoom. She won’t bite… unfortunately.
