Lara Dutta Promotes Vegetarianism on PETA Ad

“Let Vegetarianism Grow on You” says Lara Dutta, Bollywood star and ex-Miss Universe (2000), clad in nothing but lettuce leaves in a new PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) ad.

“Even seemingly small choices can have a big impact on our health, our community and the world around us”, the beautiful UNFPA Goodwill Ambassador said.

“Going vegetarian is one of the easiest ways to improve our health, help countless animals and protect the Earth,” Dutta added.

A statement on PETAIndia’s website said:

Why is leaving meat off your plate such a recipe for achievement? Vegetarian foods are naturally low in fat and cholesterol but high in nutrients, so you will never be weighed down when you need to be on the go.

And because vegetarian diets work well for long-term weight loss, it’s no surprise that vegetarians are generally leaner and trimmer than meat-eaters. Going vegetarian also reduces your risk for heart disease, diabetes, obesity and cancer.

The 32-year-old star shot for PETA wearing a Gavin Miguel dress made of lettuce leaves and other vegetables.

Zoe Saldana to Take on New ‘Avatar’ in CK Campaign

Avatar celebrity Zoe Saldana is set to take on a new role as the face of Calvin Klein’s Envy brand of underwear.

The 31-year-old actress has been shot by acclaimed photographer Michael Jansson for the sultry ads for Calvin Klein’s new range of underwear, which should debut in glossies this October.

“Calvin Klein has always put forth such beautifully executed campaigns. It’s very exciting for to be associated with such an iconic, globally recognized brand,” said Saldana.

The Hollywood star, who recently announced her engagement to boyfriend of 10 years Keith Britton, will follow in the footsteps of the likes of Diane Kruger, Eva Mendes, Fergie and Kate Bosworth.

“We feel strongly that Zoe’s natural beauty and authenticity in the upcoming Calvin Klein Underwear campaign will resonate with our consumers,” said Tom Murphy, Calvin Klein president.

“I guess I’m a role model now, and that is a privilege. I think women were fighting because we wanted to be feminine. Then we had to be masculine. Now we just want to be us,” Saldana added.

Ashley Greene Replaces Lauren Conrad as Face of mark.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon star Ashley Greene will positively look prettier than a vampire in mark. cosmetics, now that she’s been chosen to represent Avon’s youth brand.

The 23-year-old celebrity will replace MTV’s The Hills reality show star Lauren Conrad.

“Ashley has a natural beauty, but I love that she experiments with fashion,” Claudia Poccia, global president of mark. was quoted by WWD as saying. “She mixes it up and makes it her own.”

“Initially, I was drawn to mark because of the products,” said Greene. “But what really sealed the deal was its empowering message to young women, which is something I relate to.”

Antonio Banderas ‘Star Rider’ for Iberostar Hotels

Spanish actor Antiono Banderas will ‘act’ as the celebrity to endorse Spain-based hospitality brand Iberostar Hotels & Resorts the next three years.

Themed “On Vacation Everyone is a Star”, the campaign developed by Rushmore Agency will focus on guest satisfaction and experience.

Banderas will appear in all print and broadcast advertising as well as an interactive online feature where he will act the personal guide of guests in introducing Iberostar properties. The advertising will target key markets Spain and the US.

“Iberostar is a brand with a large international presence and corresponding prestige,” said Banderas.

“I share their values, their philosophy, and, of course, their understanding of vacations, which at the end of the day is most important,” he added.

We ought to be able to see the 49-year-old ladies’ man in at least four movies this year, including Dali, You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger, The Big Bang and Shrek Forever After (voice).

Amber Heard in Fendi on Fashion Magazine Cover

The girl who loves “hot cars, loud guns and classic rock ‘n’ roll” apparently also loves Fendi as Amber Heard proves on the cover of the April 2010 issue of Fashion Magazine.

Planning to date Amber? Well, the wait could be somewhat long — the blonde H-bomb has lined up five films in post production in 2010 alone — The River Why, the Joneses, And Soon the Darkness, The Rum Diary (opp Johnny Depp) and The Ward. She’s also doing a flick starring opposite Nicolas Cage in the 2011 Drive Angry.

Looks like we’ll be seeing [literally] a lot more of Amber Heard in the coming days. But who’s complaining?
