Ear Pins to Pin Him Down

Women and jewelry… so what’s new, you might ask. Well, just about quite a bit–I’m talking about a welcome departure from the traditional earrings, pendants and bracelets. Try going unique this holiday season–try the new look of the ear pins, which combine the look of multiple earrings in enchanting finishes of gold or sterling silver with an array of gemstones to match.

The fact that Americans spending over $50 billion each year on jewelry and watches points to massive online shopping. From what I’ve researched, Solisa.com offers most extensive online selection of ear pins that can be worn on either pierced or unpierced ears. What’s more, the prices start at as small as $26. Choices in design? The screenshot below is just a cross-section of the numerous designs:

Pick from 14kt gold, 14 kt red gold, 14 kt white gold or sterling silver and a gemstone from an exhaustive list ranging from amethyst, diamond and emerald to onyx, opal and pearl, and hit the Find button. You’ll be presented with an assortment of designs in various price ranges to suit your taste.

Seeing London in Style–Without Breaking the Bank

Not too long ago, I knew a couple in San Jose, California who were near fanatic about visiting London, but were shying away because of the costs, the intimidating local transport, the hassles of foreign exchange and the stresses of planning the sightseeing. And I just heard from them last week–they had finally realized their dream. They had discovered the London Pass.

The London PassThat naturally got on my curious mind, and I went on to learn that the London Pass is probably the ultimate (and the only) solution to some fantastic value-added London Sightseeing. For one thing, the Pass is a virtual FREE key to 56 of the hottest tourist attractions–with one affordable ticket. What’s more, one can use the card to enter as many of the included attractions as they wish!

London ToursAnd then there’s the sightseeing tours, cruises & walks of London with the London Pass, offering you a cruise by the Thames and city cruises with visits to the the London Eye, Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Shakespeare’s Globe, the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and the Chelsea FC Stadium Tour–to name a few–all enhanced by professional commentary that’s entertaining as well.

Everything Under the Sun

My research on the Web takes me to strange places, stranger people and across new horizons. It’s like a roller coaster of sorts at my desk–and without having to wear the straps. And every once in a while, I stumble upon blogs that virtually talk about everything under the sun.

Well, almost. Last night was one was of those nights where I chanced upon a blog called “Do You Know?” at blogopediaworld.blogspot.com. It is authored by Malathi Badri, a Math lecturer in Chennai, India, who’s also a prolific blogger, running as many as eight blogs ranging from blog promotions and the laws of the universe to plastic surgery and “art to zen, from zero to infinity.”

The site is aptly named “Do You Know?” I discovered that I didn’t quite know. And didn’t know I didn’t know–Malathi provides interesting perspectives and insights in several of life’s lesser known areas. For one, she talks about Neil and his attitude to life and inner strength, and almost, if not quite, in the same breath goes on to discuss botox and ingots, Lake Tahoe and nanotechnology.

It sure felt refreshing to come out of the ‘plastic world’ of celebrities and read about ‘real life’ for a change!
