How Plastic Surgery Can Help You Feel Good

While no one is born perfect in every way, the quest for perfection never leaves us. Statistics tells us that 85 percent of us have a yearning – sometimes latent – to get that perfect body, such as… if I could only have that immaculate nose of Nicole Kidman. And no one can blame you for wanting to feel good about yourself!

Thanks to modern cosmetic surgery, the craving for the ideal face parts, breast and belly can be fulfilled via safe procedures. Plastic surgery is no longer a Hollywood domain – proven by the fact that 51 percent of all Americans approve of cosmetic surgery, according an April 2011 survey conducted by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS).

Celebrities do tend to form the role models for most in terms of what they – or their body parts – should like. Got a thing for Halle Berry’s cheeks? You can easily get some extremely safe facial implants from a board certified plastic surgeon to enliven your face by filling up any hollow spaces.

With the bikini season just around the corner, many will be envious of Rihanna — polled to have the ‘sexiest celebrity stomach’. No worries here as well. One should be able to put up a decent contest against Rihanna by indulging in a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty). That should help turn heads by not only tightening up the abdomen but also removing any stretch marks.

While there is a cosmetic surgery solution to nearly every part of the body, to many, plastic surgery just spells breast enlargement – and not without good reason. Once again, Hollywood has made the practice extremely popular (remember Heidi Montag?), and breast implants have been soaring in popularity. It has been the most popular cosmetic surgical procedure for three years in a row now, followed by liposuction (removal of unwanted fat), according to data collected by ASAPS.

However, one key to successful plastic surgery, would be to get educated as much as possible about your body, the process and what to expect. While the resources for acquiring this knowledge are aplenty, one needs to trust only some established professionals for advice. One source is plasticsurgeryguide.com.

Ultimately, what it all boils down to is the question of how you want to feel about yourself. If that ugly scar below your ear is bothering you, you won’t really be feeling on top of the world – and that can play havoc in one’s social and professional life.

Thanks to the increasingly safer cosmetic surgery procedures, you are now able to acquire that dream body. After all, wasn’t it the great novelist George Eliot who said “It’s never too late to be what you might have been”?

Khloé Kardashian Face of Nivea Skin Program

Reality TV star Khloé Kardashian Odom has signed up with top skincare brand Nivea as the face of its four-week program featuring fitness, nutrition, style and skincare with Nivea Good-bye Cellulite products.

The upcoming bikini season will see Kardashian use Nivea’s Good-bye Cellulite Fast Acting Serum and Advanced Good-bye Cellulite Gel-Cream to help visibly reduce the appearance of cellulite and help to increase overall bikini confidence.

“Yes, I have cellulite—that’s no secret. I’m so excited to partner with Nivea to help me feel even sexier this summer,” said Kardashian, face of Nivea Good-bye Cellulite, Hello Bikini! Challenge.

“I saw the great results that my sister Kim achieved when she took the 4-week Challenge a few years ago, so now I’m choosing to do something to increase my confidence and make my skin look smoother,” added the 26-year-old star of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Magnus Jonsson, vice president, marketing, Beiersdorf, said: “It’s inspiring that a star like Khloé isn’t afraid to share that she has cellulite, and openly tell women that it’s OK to want to improve the appearance of their skin.”

“Nivea shares the same goals and aspires to help women everywhere feel more beautiful and confident, with the help of our unique diet and exercise program and Good-bye Cellulite products.”

Khloé, younger sister of Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, with whom she owns a clothing boutique, D-A-S-H, is also encouraging women everywhere to join her in taking the Challenge to help get bikini confident for summer.

Speaking of being bikini ready, a simple tummy tuck procedure can claim miracles by trimming the waistline and getting rid of excess skin and fat.

And now, with the tummy tuck cost getting lower and the benefits getting larger, it’s no wonder that abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) was among the top five cosmetic procedures in the US in 2010, according to a report from the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS).

Keeley Hawes Fronts Boots’ Anti-Aging Serum

Keeley Hawes, one of the busiest actresses in the UK, is the new face of the popular Boots No. 7 anti-aging serum.

Reports indicate that Boots Cosmetics saw the demand for No. 7 serum rising by 2000 percent after a BBC 1 report gave it high marks recently. Apparently they’re cashing in on that.

Keeley Hawes for Boots No. 7

Hawes, who’s currently appearing in Ashes to Ashes, the sequel to Life on Mars on BBC, has been reported to be ‘gushing’ about the opp to represent the brand.

“I am absolutely thrilled to be working with No. 7 as the face of their advertising campaign,” said the 31-year-old actress, who will also be appearing in “Mutual Friends” later this year.

We hope to see Keeley in at least two movies this year– “The Bank Job” with Jason Stratham, followed by “Flashbacks of a Fool” opposite Daniel Craig.

Update:

As pointed out by Ann here, a photo of ’some other girl’ was uploaded for the real Keeley Hawes. The error is regretted. The following is the old pic, and would anyone tell me who’s this? Thanks.

How to Take Away 10 Years in 10 Minutes

Sylvester Stallone-Cher-Madonna

What is the one thing the celebrities pictured above have in common? Well, I don’t really wish to confirm anything, but a little bit of Googling tells me they’ve all had botox injection treatments. Now, I’m not saying it’s a bad thing. Matter of fact, a botox Manhattan center raves and rants about the positive face (pun unintended) of cosmetic injections.

While celebrities may have a purely commercial reason to undergo botox treatments, the rest of us may have other valid reasons. For instance, to many a younger looking appearance may translate into self-confidence, career advancements, better personal relationships, etc.

A “botox shot” simply means adminstering the Allergan Botox to relax facial muscles that cause wrinkling, and saying goodbye to those facial lines, especially the frown lines. The FDA approved the 10-minute treatment is said to be one of the most effective non-surgical methods to reduce signs of aging. What’s more, results are often noticeable within hours. Queen Latifah: New spokesperson for Jenny CraigOscar-nominated star Queen Latifah, 37, will join the ranks of Kirstie Alley, Valerie Bertinelli, Monica Lewinsky and Cindy Williams by signing on to be the latest celebrity spokesperson for the weight-loss campaign of Jenny Craig.

“We are thrilled to have Queen Latifah support our mission of improving health by taking her first step toward achieving a more healthful lifestyle,” said Scott Parker, Jenny Craig’s VP, Marketing. “Queen Latifah joins forces with Jenny Craig to communicate the importance of how small lifestyle changes, in the areas of diet and exercise, can have positive effects on overall health.”

The ‘Hairspray’ star, well known for her fuller figure, will have a “very different campaign, focused on a healthier lifestyle, not on getting onto a specific dress size,” added Parker. The Jenny Craig program reportedly promotes healthy eating and exercise.

Former Jenny Craig spokesperson Bertinelli (“One Day At A Time”) allegedly lost 30 pounds, while Alley lost 75.
