“Ms Theron was chosen not only for her natural beauty, but because she epitomises the modern woman; a mix of sensuality and determination, sophistication and down-to-earth attitude, elegance and simplicity,” a spokesperson for Breil commented.

What is it with Theron and watches? Fans might recall the lawsuit slapped on Theron by Swiss watchmaker Raymond Weil earlier this year for alleged violation of an endorsement deal. Will Christial Dior still entice Theron despite the multi-million dollar deal with Breil?

Tony Parker to Represent IWC Schaffhausen

Appears like the times are just right for Tony Parker. The point guard of San Antonio Spurs won three NBA championships at the age of 25, is married to one of the loveliest women in Hollywood and is now chosen to be the spokesperdon for one of the top-of-the-line professional watches, IWC Schaffhausen.

Tony Parker to Represent IWC Schaffhausen

“I’m very excited to partner with IWC,” said Parker, the not-so-desperate househusband of Eva Longoria. “I appreciate the design and craftsman ship of their watches. Also as First Ambassador to the Make A Wish Foundation in France, I’ve come to really appreciate the charitable enterprises that companies take on. In this area, IWC stood out — their involvement in social responsibility initiatives such as the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation which helps underprivileged youth around the world really impressed me.”

Great Celebrity Fashion Shades here.

Benoit de Clerck, President of IWC North America noted: “Tony has an exciting career ahead of him and we look forward to watching our partnership grow.”

On the same lines as Parker’s phenomenal rise, IWC has been breaking records in technological development and highly complicated precision watch-making since 1868. As the “engineers of fine watch-making”, the brand solely produces men’s watches. The pieces incorporate intelligent designs in a timelessly classical style.

Time It Smart

To some, it’s a fashion statement. To some others it’s survival equipment. Yet there are some who wear it only underwater. And some pick it up as part of their jewelry. Whatever the reason, whatever the occasion, watches have become more than just machines to tell the time.

And as they become more multi-functional with each day, the value of branded watches—and their prices—are hitting an all time high. Twenga: the Dynamic Shopping Search Engine

To begin with, the bottom line first: You can’t go wrong with Twenga. That is, even if you tried.

Trust me, this shopping search engine is ALIVE! I’m inclined to say this because I began a search with a very rough mental sketch of what I needed – and Twenga did the rest. At each step of the search, I was offered user-friendly options making it effortless to zero in on what I wanted.

Twenga Shopping Search EngineTwenga, a UK based shopping search engine propelled by ‘proprietary crawl technology’, constantly updates its database and hence is able to offer the best shopping deals to users.

The two prominent features on the home page category bar are ‘Brands’ and ‘Top Deals.’ If you’re a die-hard fan of a certain brand, you can then just visit that brand’s pages and select what you need. On the other hand, if you love special offers, the ‘Top Deals’ link takes you to over 3,500 discounts, promotions, clearance sales, etc. from Twenga’s 3,000 merchants!

The category range is mind-blogging, and the products listed in each, exhaustive. I wanted to explore what was new in digital cameras and to say the least, I was amazed with the reaults page that offered a choice of about 3,400 digital cameras of 62 brands from 127 shops! And the options to narrow down the search included stores, brands, resolutions, types, screen size and budget. Now, is that choice, or is that choice?

The Anatomy of a Twenga Search Results Page

Perhaps the options you find in a typical search results page (in this case, my search for a treadmill, which I’d been planning on for quite some time) could be best described with a screenshot of the page.

From the sports > fitness link, I visited the treadmills area which looked like this:

A typical Twenga search results page

LEGEND

1 Price Drops – Lists offers with reduced prices
2 Store Names – Check out only certain stores
3 Brands – Lists products only from your favourite brand

9 More search pages!

You can find just about anything you need on Twenga. The fashion link leads to a page bundled with hundreds of bags and leather goods, fashion accessories, women’s skirts, dresses, trousers and lingerie and and suits and blazers for men, as well as polos, T-shirts, underwear, boots and miscellaneous fashion.

The computers section yields just about everything from laptops and PC’s to hi-tech accessories, wi-fi and software. Matter of fact, whether it be audio-video, household appliances, furniture, gardening, family, jewellery, health & beauty , sports & leisure, automobiles or even gastronomy, Twenga makes the shopping experience fun, hassle-free and completely satisfying.

Absolutely Watchable

Absolute Poker just proved that its presentation tastes go beyond presenting online poker. Vancouver, Canada model Serinda Swan, Absolute Poker spokesperson, just beat 75,000 models to secure her spot as one of four models for the GUESS Watches campaign this holiday season.

Serinda Swan of Absolute Poker is now also the face of GUESS watches

“The fashion industry has recognized what the online poker industry already knows,” said David Clainer, Vice President for Absolute Poker. “When it comes to being the face of a brand, Serinda Swan is a true gem.”

Serinda, who, as the new face of Absolute Poker, is appearing in television commercials, print advertisements, website promotions and other promotional pieces. (Online poker players can look forward to seeing her online at the tables.)

The Top 20 candidates in the “Faces To Watch” competition were flown to Basel, Switzerland where they were interviewed by an international panel of judges. The rest is history.

Serinda will now fly to Los Angeles to take part in a GUESS watches photo shoot to become the next “Faces to Watch” for the Holiday 2007 Season. Joining Serinda as the new female faces of GUESS Watches is Darina of Russia and the male winners are Samuele of Italy and Christiaan of Holland.

Perhaps you will enjoy some more photos of the GUESS girl:
