Arlenis Sosa is the celebrity face to watch in the coming days: the 19-year-old Dominican Republic girl has been signed by Lancôme as its latest face.
The hot former student will reportedly model an assortment of lip glosses and mascaras for cosmetics giant Lancôme in a campaign to be launched early 2009.
“Arlenis possesses beauty, intelligence, charm and compassion,” said Odile Roujol, president of Lancôme. “All of our brand ambassadors share these attributes, so we knew she would be a wonderful addition. We are very proud to welcome her to the Lancôme family.”
The student-turned-model has seen a meteoric rise in just six months this year. It was only in march 2008 that she walked into the offices and Marilyn Agency as was signed right away. Two weeks later, Sosa appeared in books editorials for Vogue and Italian Vogue, as well as debuted on the runway for the holiday Banana Republic show in NY. Since then, she’s walked the Christian Dior show and featured in several high-end fashion publication such as Interview and Harper’s Bazaar and photographed by Steven Meisel and Jason Kibbler.
