Connie Manilo-Ferguson, star of hit ABC soap generations, has signed up to front cosmetics giant Garnier.
This news comes hot on the heels of another South African star – Terry Pheto – being named the face of international beauty brand L’Oreal.
While Ferguson, who plays advertising manager Karabo Moroka in Generations, has her own perfume brand ‘True Label’, she will join Top Billing presenter Jeannie D as a spokesperson for Garnier, endorsing a hair color range for the company’s new skin product, Eve & Matte.
She has been in the cast of the award-winning soap for over 12 years, with an average of 17 million viewers every week.
Ferguson has been voted one of South Africa’s Ten Most beautiful Women (1993) by Cosmopolitan Magazine, featured in David Dodd’s Portraits of South Africa’s Most beautiful Women (1997), and graced the covers of many local magazines including True Love, Ebony, Tribute, Drum and Pace.
