Ultra sultry Hollywood star Scarlett Johnasson’s Dolce & Gabbana ads for their new cosmetic line broke out a couple days ago.

Someone once said that, “It’s easier to copy genius than to create mediocrity.” And if there’s any truth in that at all, that’s exactly what the 24-year-old hottie seems to doing in the Solve Sundsbo-shot ad– imitating Marilyn Monroe with her blonde curly locks and red lipstick.
“Scarlett is sure of herself,” commented Stefano Gabbana on choosing FHM’s sexiest-woman-alive (2006) to front their brand new cosmetics range. “She’s a beautiful girl, but she’s really easy going. She is very Dolce & Gabana.”
“We see makeup as another thing for women, like a dress,” he added, describing the range and why the famed fashion duo decided to make the leap into cosmetics. “We worked on the makeup line like we work on a clothing collection — you can change makeup like you can change your clothes, depending on your mood.
“We wanted to create makeup with a scent. Domenico and I remember when we were children and opened our mother’s handbags — the scent of her lipstick trailed out. I observed that when women open makeup, they smell it first.”
Hmmm. And that makes me wonder what men would love to smell when they open their wallet? I, for one, would love the smell of mint-fresh dollar bills! And why has no fashion house yet come out with a dollar-bill scented fragrance spray for men???
The new D&G line, which will include a lipstick range scented with rose, is expected to hit retailers in March.
