Amidst an impending doom of a potential 90-day jail term for driving with a suspended license, the millionaire socialite and American heiress Paris Hilton still has something to smile about. She will launch the campaign for Bordeaux wines on the first day of Vinexpo, arriving at the fair in a hot air balloon.
Hilton, 26, slated to be the new face of Bordeaux wines, is set to feature in a TV, poster and print ads to run all through the summer and autumn in Europe and the US.
The campaign, which will feature the strapline, ‘Paris: One Night in Bordeaux’, will be announced at the Vinexpo trade fair — which is attended by over 50,000 people — in Bordeaux in June this year.
An insider told decanter.com, who announced the news, that ’she will descend in a golden dirigible,’ adding that safety regulations had caused headaches for organisers.

Hey folks, relax! Just as I was getting ready to post this one, I learn that it’s an April Fool’s Day hoax. That makes sense actually, though Paris have been hiring her as a spokesperson, and furthermore, last year, she even launched a wine brand: Rich, a canned Proseco.
