Singer and two-time Grammy Award-winning recording artist Jill Scott is launching a new brand of intimate apparel for the plus-size woman named “The Butterfly Collection by Jill Scott.”

While an inspired Jill personally designed the clothing line, it will make use of the Ashley Stewart name and image in all marketing and merchandising concepts, in an exclusive venture between her firm J Heather Inc. and Ashley Stewart Stores.

In the other news, the 35- year-old singer is scheduled to kick start her “Real Thing” tour in Seattle, Washington later this month. Scott, who has received several Grammy nods as well for her 2007 album “The Real Thing,” (Best R&B Album, Best Female R&B Vocal performance for “Hate On Me”) is testing Hollywood waters as well, starring in Anthony Minghella’s “No.1 Ladies Detective Agency,” co-starring Idris Elba.
