“I’m blessed and grateful to be back at YSL,” was what Naomi Campbell had to say when she was unveiled as the new face of French fashion house Yves Saint Laurent.
Well guys, I can say this story is not coming at a good time especially when Mr Yves Saint Laurent died yesterday at the age of 71 (1936-2008). Then again, I’m blogging the news because what other better way to pay tribute to YSL, who defined women’s fashion in the 20th century.

Campbell, 38, told The Mail last Sunday: “I’m blessed and grateful to be working with YSL again – a house that gave me a start in my career.” The YSL deal is rumored to be worth a cool $400,000 to Campbell.
“Naomi shot the latest campaign in the label’s studio on Avenue George V in Paris during March,” said sources. “The advert has a similar feel to the recent ad Kate Moss did for YSL. It has a very arty feel and Naomi proves she can still look as stunning as ever.”
