US TV networks deem Hollywood actress Eva Mendes’ new commercials for Calvin Klein’s latest fragrance too raunchy and risque.
In Steven Meisel’s commercial Eva is obviously enjoying a private and passionate moment in a rather longish piece of loose clothing and making suggestive movements.
But Mendes apparently is not bothered by the fact that the TV commercials are banned.
“I love that my CK Secret Obsession was banned from certain countries,” the 34-year-old seductress says. “That means the ads are totally Calvin, totally provocative and a little controversial.”
“She is being a little sexy, but they are not provocative,” said Fabien Baron, the spot’s creative director. “They are really well done. The spot is really beautiful — I really can’t believe this is happening.…I don’t know what else to say.”
The networks have not commented on their decision as to why they rejected the spots, though.
