Hollywood star Eva Mendes appears to be a bit confused. First off, she loved that her Calvin Klein Secret Obsession commercial was banned from certain countries, and now she thinks not being allowed to show nipples on TV is ‘a little backwards.’
“We can show guns every where but we can’t show woman’s nipple,” the 34-year-old Hitch star said Thursday on Ryan Seacrest’s morning show on KISS FM. “That is a little backwards to me.”
She was of course referring to her ‘hot and provocative’ TV commercial for Calvin Klein’s latest perfume for women, Secret Obsession. The U.S. TV networks lost no time in banning the Steven Meisel shot commercial from being aired, claiming it’s ‘too raunchy and risque.’
The commercial featured Mendes in the bed enjoying an intimate moment all by herself wearing very little.
“That was me doing what I do… that is rolling around in sheets… ” Mendes added. “I am the face of their new perfume ‘Secret Obsession’ I was rolling around in bed for the commercial spot. You know… I had a little situation… one of the girls wanted to say hello without letting anybody know so she… basically I had a nipple slippage.

“It made the commercial because it was so natural and so beautiful and it was very quick.” (Something like a ‘bedsheet malfunction’?)
I guess I was one of the privileged ones to have watched the commercial on YouTube before it was taken off from there as well. And as for the nipple, yes, it was ‘very quick’. And I think THAT’S what made it provocative!
