Luxury fragrance firm Creed is releasing a new women’s perfume inspired by the iconic Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.
Named Love in Black, the new scent is a tribute Jacqueline Kennedy (1929 – 1994), who was a fashion icon while in the spotlight as First Lady. Her impeccable taste in clean suits, dresses and hairstyles were the talk of the day, while she also enjoyed products by famous designers such as Chanel, Givenchy, Cartier and Dior.
The scent is being released next month, a month prior to the 40th anniversary of her marriage to Greek shipping tycoon Aristotle Onassis.
Created by sixth-generation master perfumer Olivier Creed, Love in Black is described as a “violet oriental” scent, and is available in a 1-ounce clear glass bottle or a 2.5-ounce black bottle.
The bottle is made with black sands, similar to the Greek isles where she was wed on October 30, 1968.
It’s being offered in 1-oz spray ($130), 2.5-oz ($230) and 8.4-oz ($350). A part of the sales in the U.S. will benefit the World Wildlife Fund. Check out creedperfumes.us for more information.
