Supermodel Gisele Bundchen has quit as the face of Victoria’s Secret lingerie, and has just signed up to be the face of Cacharel’s new fragrance.
The word is around that Gisele Bundchen has quit as the face of Victoria’s Secret lingerie, because they would not increase her US$5 million annual pay.
The Brazilian supermodel who formerly dated Leonardo DiCaprio and New England Patriots star quarterback Tom Brady was the top Victoria’s Secret Angel.
“The long and fruitful relationship between Gisele Bundchen and Victoria’s Secret has reached a conclusion,” the lingerie brand’s CEO, Edward Razek said. “She will continue to be a very visible part of the world’s sexiest brand through the remainder of the year.”
Meanwhile, Gisele, 26, has signed a multi-million dollar contract with Cacharel to represent a new perfume launching next year. The French company’s research revealed the supermodel to be one of the biggest celebrities in Japan, China and the Middle East, areas that Cacharel particularly wish to target.
The multi-million pound deal will see Gisele star in print, TV and billboard ads – presumably she’ll get a lot of free perfume, too. Filming of the TV commercials will take place in Paris later this month.
