Gemma Garrett to Sport British Grand Prix Face

Silverstone has announced that Miss Great Britain Gemma Garrett will be the female spokesperson for 2008 Formula One British Grand Prix.

Gemma Garrett

Gemma, 26, who is casted alongside the Hollywood action star Dolph Lundgren in Direct Contact (due for release in Autumn 2008), said, “I’m very honored to have been named the Female Face of the British Grand Prix. So much has been happening since I was crowned Miss Great Britain and this is very exciting. I will be attending the British Grand Prix on 6 July. I’m really looking forward to cheering on the three British drivers*.”

“I’ve never been to the Grand Prix before so it should be an amazing experience,” the Belfast girl added. “I can’t wait.”

Incidentally, 2008 marks 60 years since the first ever British Grand Prix at Silverstone and the Northamptonshire circuit will be looking forward to Gemma boosting the galmour of the occasion. I’d trust her to just that, if these images are any indication.

I cannot imagine a more disastrous move by the Silverstone people to appoint this ageing bimbo. She is the most embarrassing and least intelligent bimbo to ever “grace” the title of Miss GB. Everything about her is fake from her ridiculous cleavage to her dyed hair. Formula 1 and motorsport in general surely should try to leave behind its dated 1970’s image of sexism and “birds”. Instead they are appealing to the mindset of pre-pubescent boys and insulting the intelligence of male Formula 1 fans with an IQ in excess of 50. Not to mention alienating all female fans. Following the Max Mosley fiasco this is the last straw, credibility has gone. Incidentally, Miss Garrett’s boyfriend has just been charged with burglary at Southampton FC. What a model for British Formula 1!

In relation to the above post i would suggest that anyone so keen to criticise with associated effort should research more and perhaps get their facts right. Your post is littered with inaccuracies and the most peominent is the judging of Miss Garrett’s character.
Knowing Gemma personally I can assure you that she is probably the most articulate and intelligent Miss GB to date who does a lot of charity and community work. I think you are too quick to stereotype and there is a lot of intelligence and caring personality behind these “dyed hair and cleavage”, which by your admission automatically makes someone “fake”.

Furthermore, Gemma was linked to SHAUN Wright-Philips who is not a Southampton player or a thief. Max Mosley was a very poor role model for Formula 1 - granted. But to so quickly tar Gemma with the same brush is ignorant and perhaps in future you might want to learn more about the character and philosophies of a person before judging them primarily upon looks misconceptions.
