Gisele Bündchen Replaces Carmen Electra as MAX Factor Face

Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen has signed a multi-year contract worth $2.5 million to be the new face of cosmetics brand MAX Factor.

Though the announcement was made as early as February this year, the campaign is picking up momentum only now. This move could be due to the fact that MAX Factor is celebrating its centenary year in 2009, and looking to breathe some fresh (and hot!) air into its campaigns worldwide.

“MAX Factor is a brand that has touched some of the most glamorous faces in the world for the last 100 years,” said Bündchen. “But more than that, I love that this was the original brand to make that professional artistry and glamour available to everyday women, and I’m honored to work with MAX Factor in continuing that great tradition.”

“Gisele is really down-to-earth. She is easy to work with,” said Bruce Katsman, associate marketing director for MAX Factor.

For Gisele fans out there, you may have to wait till next month to see the glamorous lady in her campaign for her ColorGenius Face Collection, but I got a couple for you now anyway.
